  • "An excellent place to stay in Scarborough, just one block up from the prominade."

A large spacious house made for holidaying..I will be booking again later in the year for my family. The house made our holiday. Thank you

  • "Overall we all had a really lovely time at No 47."

But, we would reiterate previous reviews with regard to the standard of cleanliness. Either the cleaning team don't have long enough to clean the property or, they need to be more thorough. However, it wouldn't stop us from staying at No 47 again or recommending the property, we would just know what to expect.

  • "Wonderful house to stay."

All rooms have sea view. Kitchen is well equipped. Location is great and it’s very near the lovely market. Only one thing - the toilet paper was provided one roll each. It would be nice if there is at least one spare in the each toilet. We would definitely recommend No 47 and can’t want to come back again ! Thank you.

  • "Lovely house for a family holiday, lots of space, great location, and baby cot/chair/gates included which for us was essential."

Great choices of decor in the rooms. Felt like a proper home. Loved the kitchen/dining space. We had one minor issue during our stay and Sykes swiftly put us in contact with the landlord, who was extremely helpful and solved the issue very quickly. Very happy with the service received! We will definitely use this house again for our next Scarborough holiday!

Window in living room didn’t lock which meant the accommodation was not secure No toilet roll Cleanliness was not very good especially in the kitchen No heating or hot water on day of departure so we were very cold and none of us could have a shower prior to our 9 hour journey back to Scotland

i.e. no separate shower cubicle. They are small wet rooms.

It us so conveniently placed in the centre of everything. There is also a brilliant pub at the end of the street where the locals made us feel really welcome.

  • "We had a fabulous 5 day break at this cottage!"

The facilities and location were brilliant. My only feedback for improvement would be the settee and lounge chairs in the main living room were pretty uncomfortable and as we spent all the evenings chilling in front of the fabulous fire this was a little disappointing but by no means stopped us enjoying the cottage. I would come back a couple of times a year as we visit Scarborough regularly if the furniture in that room was updated.

  • "Lovely house in a fantastic location."

Really well equipped, full of character with some lovely sea views from the kitchen/dining area.

  • "House is absolutely amazing."

It has everything you need for a break and loads more. The space is fantastic and easily accommodated two families and with two living rooms it kept the kids quiet too. The location couldn't be better and was an easy walk into the centre, the front and the (re-vamped and worth a few trips) market. We've been visiting Scarborough almost annually my whole life and it's the first time I've been sad to go in a good few years! I would definitely recommend this and we will be booking here again.

However locks on bathroom doors could do with repair and also DVD player kept freezing during use. Parking was difficult but spaces on Church Terrace were close to cottage once found as road is cul-de-sac. Overall we had a great week and would definitely go back.
