  • "Just perfect, we loved the fact we had the conservatory downstairs but everything else was upstairs."

It was extremely clean, welcoming and comfortable. My teenage daughter loved her attic bedroom for the week. We also liked the Christmas tree and baubles left to make it feel more Christmassy. Would 100% recommend

  • "A lovely comfortable, clean apartment with beautiful views out of the windows."

Spoilt a little by trees either side if the window blocking the view. The parking space was tight and due to birds in the over-hanging branches, our car had ti be cleaned of bird poo every day. This was annoying as was the fact we could not avoid walking in it and treading it into the car. Two of the mugs had to be put in soak as they had what looked like dried on soup on the insides. We felt the frying pans are not fit for purpose and the cutlery is flimsy. The switch on the lamp at the side of the sofa was crackling. Not wanting to climb behind the sofa to unplug it, we pulled the extension cable plug out of the socket, not realising the hub also served the apartment below us. We are not computer literate. The next day the owner of property came and pointed out to us there was a sticker on the plug instructing us not to un-plug it. However we would have had to get on our knees to read it and it still would have been difficult as the sticker went around the sides of the plug. We did apologise and explained why we pulled the plug. A suggestion we would like to make is; instead if stickers on switches, some information on a board near the front door and some in a black folder, maybe put all of the do's and don'ts in the black folder, including that the hub serves both apartments. Put a note on the bord by the front door directing visitors to the black folder.

  • "23 September 2023 Excellent property in Scalby, a lovely village."

Clean, tidy and excellently equipped. Full instructions for the use of the dishwasher etc. 15/20 minute walk into the village where there are two pubs, tea room, village store and a half hourly bus service into Scarborough. There is also a 'Sizzler' pub, with Sky Sports, about a 10 minute walk down the Harkness Road. As mentioned in a previous review, parking is a problem if two cars parked together in the allotted spaces. We used the road, so not a problem. We rarely, if ever, return to a a holiday let, but would we recommend this property, most definitely .

  • "Lovely property our stay was perfect."

The British weather wasn’t the best but we came home to comfort and warmth. We would recommend.

  • "Spacious, modern, airy, with big windows affording lovely views across fields."

Paddle steps were no problem as we’re agile. Second bin in kitchen for recycle would be useful. Parking space unusable … very difficult to manoeuvre, plus heaps of poo from roosting pigeons. But NOT a problem, as easy, safe, free parking on road, straight outside. Good location for Scarborough and Whitby (regular bus services, 5 mins walk away).

  • "We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful property."

It was ideally positioned to explore so many places – and of course minutes away from Scarborough itself. It was set in a quiet residential area but with easy access to all amenities and the flat itself was perfectly clean, fully equipped and had a lovely private conservatory and outdoor area too. We are hoping to book again sometime soon, and I cannot recommend this place more highly if you are considering a stay in this area (in fact I have already recommended to friends and family

  • "A really lovely property,in a delightful area."

With wonderful views and gorgeous sunsets. Nice to see wildlife in the fields and trees too .Parking was not a problem on the drive ,with roadside space for extra cars too. Plenty of room for the 4 of us during our weeks stay. The property was well equipped and had plenty of hot water and the heating was easy to control,so never cold. Need a car for visiting local areas but there was a bus stop nearby. Would recommend a stay here as Scalby is a beautiful village. Oh and a 20 minute walk away The Plough pub does delicious food too.:)

  • "A lovely apartment in Scalby with the most beautiful view over the fields."

Spotlessly clean and felt very spacious, the conservatory on the back was great for shoes and coats. Very well equipped although some oven gloves would be useful (unless we just couldn’t find them). All in all a really relaxing and pleasant stay in this fabulous apartment with the added bonus of wonderful sunsets and watching hares play in the field opposite.

  • "A very clean and comfortable holiday apartment with a beautiful view across fields and woodland."

It is furnished and appointed to a high standard. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was provided. Easy access to the coast and the North Yorkshire Moors.

  • "My wife and I had a really relaxing week in the property."

We loved the unexpected view across the moors, woods, fields and sheep over the other side of the road and watched the sun go down most nights. Bearing in mind the cost of energy now, I was a bit concerned on the owner's behalf at the way the heating and hot water have been set up. The room thermostat is positioned on the cold stairs meaning the pump was running all the first night until I learnt to turn the thermostat right down each night and when we went out. Plus the hot water was unnecessarily hot. The boiler temperatures and settings could do with some adjustments. I put some suggestions in the review book in the lounge. Our only criticism of the flat is that the cutlery could do with upgrading as it is very flimsy and some of the handles are falling off! Otherwise a brilliant week in a great apartment.

Only 40/45 mins. steady walk to Peasholm Park/ North shore. Good of road parking . What's not to like. Absolutely 5 star.

  • "We had a lovely week at Beechwood Vista and the countryside views from the front windows are beautiful."

The property is very well equipped and beautifully clean. The double bed was very comfortable but the attic room would be better with two proper 3ft single beds with thicker mattresses (just a suggestion.) It was great having the conservatory and garden space. We visited Saltburn by the sea, Whitby, Filey, Flamborough Head, Cayton Bay (our favourite) and Scarborough (preference North Bay quieter) We will definitely return to Beechwood Vista and recommend to future guests

  • "Our stay at beechwood vista was fab very quite lovely accommodation and very quiet location close enough to all the attractions, the accommodation was very clean and tidy."

Only problem was that the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable and could do with a mattress topper and could also invest in a fish slice for fried eggs in the morning other than that it is a fantastic little holiday apartment and can not wait to book again we will definitely be back. 5*****

  • "Fantastic apartment well equipped with everything we needed."

Immaculately clean and equipped with everything we needed. With beautiful views over rolling countryside at the front and a balcony opening at the back of the apartment. The only negative was the twin bedroom in the attic. We appreciate the weather being exceptionally hot during our stay and one day was the hottest day of the year. The temperate in the twin room made it unbearable and we were unable to use it. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. Would definitely return.

Sorry to hear that despite the openable twin rooflights andelectric fan supplied, it proved to be too hot for you both. Had you contacted us to say that the loft bedroom was unuseable, we could have supplied bedding for the sofa bed in the lounge so that both of you could have a bed each. Property Owner

The apartment is open-plan, with a conservatory providing plenty of natural light and a private garden for enjoying the fresh air.

On arrival, locate your allocated parking space before exploring your three-storey apartment, with a conservatory and utility cupboard on the ground floor, housing a washing machine.

Climb upstairs to the first floor to discover the open-plan living space, ideal for hosting large groups, with a contemporary kitchen equipped with the essential appliances you need for cooking, including an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and dining seating for up to six.

Unwind on the plush, leather sofa with a cup of tea in hand as you admire the countryside views or flicker though the TV to catch-up on shows.

Head downstairs to the conservatory to curl up with a book and patio doors lead out to the enclosed garden; here you can watch the sunset after a day filled with fun.

As the evening cools, retreat upstairs and indulge in a bubble bath or if that's not for you there is an overhead shower for a quick wash.

The first floor also hosts a double bedroom with ample storage whilst the second floor is home to a twin bedroom, with a Velux window to admire the stars.

All your amenities can be found in the quaint village of Scalby, just a short stroll away, offering a tearoom for a slice of cake, local pubs to immerse yourself in the local community, and well-stocked shops.

Jump in the car to visit the seaside town of Scarborough, which has plenty of things to do, from exploring the town's many parks and gardens, to visiting the castle and learning about its rich history.
