  • "A fabulous place to hold a family gathering."

Every bedroom is very spacious with wonderful beds. The lounge was great to chill out in once the children were in bed with great views. My tip with young children would be to have the families with young children on the ground and lower floors. We used the snug next to the kitchen as a play area and its fewer steps to take the children down from the lower floors.

Bedrooms were large, plenty of hot water and heating easy to use. Couple of issues, but owner sorted, and answered any queries really quickly. Lovely views from most rooms at the front of property.

  • "Queens cliff was the perfect place for our family break."

Close to all the attractions and the town for shopping but away from all the crowds. We were a mixed age group so it was great to be within walking distance of places of interest for all ages including the teenagers. The house layout meant we could all gather or have our own quiet place. The dinning room seated all of us comfortably for our birthday and wedding anniversary celebrations and the beds were really comfy. Best of all was the friendly and very helpful owner and the unexpected hamper of goodies to kick off our stay. We loved it and are already planning a revisit as soon as we are able.

  • "Yes -- several small, easily fixable, things detracted from the general hgh standard."

    1. The kitchen knives are all blunt. Not just a bit blunt, but very very blunt. You can't even cut slices of a cucumber with them. Just one of the eight (the very smallest one) is sharp. Replace the lot! 2. No corkscrew! Astonishing in a house like this. We bought one for you and left it in the house. 3. The door of the lower kitchen cupboard to the left of the cooker is falling off. Just needs a screwdriver. I'd have done it, but I didn't bring a screwdriver. 4. Some of the TVs/videos lack remotes; and some of the remotes lack batteries. 5. There is no dustpan and brush, or broom. Lugging a big vacuum cleaner to a small amount of sand seems... unnecessary. 6. The hot tub switches itself from "Norm" to "Filter" by itself every night, without fail. On Filter it does not heat up. After we figured this out we made sure to reset it every morning, but that took three days of no hot tub, which was a shame. Either explain this to your guests, or stop it resetting! 7. No small bedside lights, useful if one person wants to sleep and the other is reading. Generally it's a lovely house, especially the location. We had a great stay. These are small things, but worth fixing.

No bbq was a bit disappointing but when the owner explained the reasons we overcame it by taking our own. All in, it a house I would highly recommend to anyone needing 8 double bedrooms, all with en-suite. We only needed 7 rooms but every room is luxurious

  • "We were the first post lockdown booking and were really ready for a break."

The house was spotlessly clean, there was hand sanitizer and disinfectant available to use. I really would struggle to find anything bad to say about Queen's cliff - everything is first rate, the views out to sea were amazing and was a short walk into the busy heart of Scarborough. Judging by the size of the cleaning team that turned up just as we were leaving it will have been just as spotless for the next group. -Thank you Jaime and team.

Had a great weekend get together with family, although the numerous staircases could be an issue for some. Friendly owner turned out immediately when there was an issue with the water and corrected the problem. Large lounge accommodates everyone. Not sure about dinning table in this room felt the lounge could be improved if table removed and another sofa placed in there. Plenty to do around the local area.

  • "The kitchen and its facilities are not adequate for a party of 14."

There is only one standard size fridge, and the dishwasher is only a slimline one. In addition, the kitchen is very narrow and provides very limited working surfaces, certainly not sufficient for preparing a meal for 14 people. The lounge which is on the first floor is a lovely room with sea views. However, there is insufficient seating for 14 people. The table and two benches in the lounge are superfluous - it is unlikely to be used for eating purposes given that food and drinks would have to be carried up two flights of stairs. The space would be better utilised by the provision of additional comfortable seating. The bedrooms are comfortable and of a good size. Two of them did not have a hairdryer. Some of the lightbulbs need replacing in the bedrooms too. Although the details state that there is parking for six cars, we could only manage to park five without overlapping the public footpath.

  • "The only negative thing to say about the house is that the kitchen is inadequate."

A slim line dishwasher for a house that has room for 16 people, a fridge the right size for a family of four. There was also very little prep space, if the weather hadn’t been so good and we all lived outside, we would have struggled to cook for us all.

). Lovely bedrooms, comfy beds, powerful showers and great that all bedrooms were en-suite! A nice, generous hamper was awaiting our arrival and the rooms were set up with Christmas decorations, an unexpected extra. Set up in the bedrooms was as requested. Great responsive communication from host even though we did not meet them. Areas for improvement - Bedroom on lower-ground floor never got warm despite heating being on; a plug in heater was required. Hot tub was nice addition but not private so it was not used much. There was only one fridge with a small freezer. Not enough plugs in the upstairs lounge - a multi-plugger would have been useful. Check out time unclear (10am in some places 10:30am in others). Only one set of keys across whole household was tricky to manage.
