The property

This attractive, converted school house is situated in the old town of the seaside resort of Scarborough, North Yorkshire .

This mid-terrace cottage is in a quiet location with a fantastic view of the distant bay and is ideal for those wanting to enjoy the many attractions of this popular town, but be within close proximity to the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park.

You will also be just a few minutes walk from the beach and the castle ruins.

The accommodation is over three floors, with the modern, well-equipped kitchen and dining room on the ground floor, whilst winding stairs lead up to the cosy and comfortable sitting room and a luxurious bathroom, with a freestanding bath set in the middle; perfect for a long, deep soak after a busy day exploring the area.

The two tastefully styled bedrooms are on the top floor with quality beds and mattresses ensuring a restful sleep.

From the twin room, there are lovely views over the rooftops to the sea and along the headland.

With a TV and DVD in both the sitting room and dining room it allows flexibility and space to spread out.

A few minutes’ walk down the hill brings you to the vibrant seafront of South Bay, with its sandy beach, cafes, amusements and pubs.

This charming, traditional coastal town offers something for everyone, with colourful gardens, museums, excellent restaurants and independent retailers.

Culture lovers will be impressed with the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the round, while the Spa Theatre hosts seasonal shows and exhibitions.

Why not stroll along the promenade along to North Bay, watching the nesting sea birds on the high cliffs, with the castle perched above, or enjoy a day at the SEA LIFE Sanctuary, always a hit with both young and old?

With the superb surrounding countryside to discover and the dramatic coastline to explore, this charming property provides a wonderful base for a varied and interesting holiday.

Popular since Victorian times, the vibrant seaside town of Scarborough retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of beautiful, golden sandy beaches, popular with families and small children. There are a number of child friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown-ups too, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music.
