    Negative comments: Bedrooms 1. Bedding was stained in places 2. Mattress cover / sheet was stained 3. One pillow seemed to have been used outside as it had grass marks 4. No pillow protectors were used so sweat marks were apparent on them 5. Stool at end of bed was badly marked 6: Cheap bedding 7: No mirror in main bedroom Lounge area 1: No clock / mirror 2: Dirty throws on furniture that we had wash to make them smell better 3: Old net curtains at the windows Kitchen 1: Only a 2 slice toaster when accommodation sleeps up to 4 people 2: No bread knife / no sharp knives 3: Dirty dishes found in cupboard 4: Washing machine had black scum round the drum 5: No Cafetiere 6. No black bags left so had to buy our own to put bedding in at end of stay 7: Had to provide our own bin bags Pool room 1: Loose tiles next to pool steps 2: Leaky windows above pool when it rained Hot tub / outside area 1: Old rusty steps to get into hot tub 2: Weeds everywhere 3: Hot tub smelt funny on last day 4: Without any warning a gardener came through gate to mow the grass on a ride on mower whilst our dog was outside 5: Property very difficult to find on first arriving - needs better signage There were no written instructions as to how to work things such as the cooker, TV etc It stated that they had removed certain items due to Covid-19 but didn't list these items Overall decoration could have been better as it was quite dark downstairs Positive comments: 1. Bathrooms were clean (3 showers, 3 toilets and 1 bath) 2: Pool was good but surrounding tiles were a little tired and need attention 3: Plenty of spare towels to use 4: Tumble dryer 5: Lovely grass area to exercise the dog 6: Great central location to visit Filey / Scarborough etc 7: Two lovely pubs in the village and one shop 8: Good barbeque area outside

From here, glass doors lead out to a patio area complete with hot tub, a real delight to sit and relax in after a long day out.

With a small paddock for a game of football, this North Yorkshire cottage has something for everyone.

A short stroll from this holiday cottage in Yorkshire brings you to two pubs and an award-winning restaurant, whilst the village also hosts a small supermarket and Post Office.

Take a trip on the open top bus to view the sights, or visit the open air theatre.

Historic Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, with narrow cobbled streets and fishermen's cottages, are both close to this cottage near Scarborough, as is the stunning scenery of the heather-clad North York Moors.
