  • "The house was lovely and modern and comfortable,in easy reach of a lot of beaches ,and nice pubs nearby, unfortunately could not get wi fi."

Thanks for your feedback John. Apologies about the WiFi I know we did speak about this but I couldn't do anything as I was on holiday. Not sure what the issue was as I've never had any complaints before. I will of course check the wifi and write down the WiFi name so there's no issues in the future. Pleased you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, on the edge of Skelton though up a steep hill."

Good bus service (though not used) as we used our car. Everything provided that we needed, many extra towels, bedding etc if needed. We'll laid out property with small outside space, with nice comfy seating, cushions and a table (warm and sunny if used). Beds were a bit soft but that suits some, good tv and plenty of seating. An excellent place to use as a Base for trips to the coast or inland to various markets and small towns. Within easy reach of Middlesbrough if you want larger places to visit, though we prefer viewing countryside or smaller picturesque places. Would definitely recommend it and may return sometime if health permits.

Thanks for your great feedback Dennis, pleased you found everything you needed. We would love to welcome you back sometime. All the best Jo & Brian Property Owner

  • "Lovely, spacious and well-equipped cottage."

Cottage was lovely and clean when I arrived and there was a handy bottle of milk in case you haven't got to the shops yet. Had no issue parking right outside the cottage. Excellent wi-fi signal. Kitchen had everything you could need. There is a walk just down from the cottage where the dogs could go off lead. Couple of small issues; 1) the shower does not drain properly so you need to turn it off halfway to allow it to drain otherwise it will overflow and flood the bathroom. 2) there are no labels on the oven. A manual has been provided but it's not the right one so it doesn't line up. As such it's trial and error trying to figure out which setting is for the oven and it's a guesstimate on temperature (after spending an hour trying the different options to figure out the oven I managed to cremate my meal the first time! 3) The double bed is very hard and lumpy, not very comfortable at all. Overall a lovely, comfy cottage and would stay again

Good Evening Sam thank you for your feedback. So sorry to hear that the bed wasn't comfortable I'll check the mattress as its a brand new bed. As regards the shower I've called my plumber friend to see if he can check the fall on the waste. The oven was left in the house when I bought it and to be honest I've not used it but I will address the issue you raised. Overall you had a good stay which is what it's all about, I appreciate you drawing my attention to these couple of issues which I will now rectify. Hopefully see you again in the future. • "Really enjoyed our stay in this cottage."

The place is way better than on pictures. Very cosy, comfy beds, very clean. It's perfect if you have a dog. Lots of walks near by. We stayed for New Years, so we didn't do much. But it's located in a small town near Saltburn-on-sea(10 minutes drive or 45-minute walk). We definitely will book again. Maybe in the summer next time.

Thank you Lana for your lovely comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we will look forward to welcoming you back again. Please remember to tell your family and friends about us. Take care Jo & Brian xx Property Owner

  • "Great check in time of 3pm (saves having to drive in the dark on winter evenings) and the house was warm and cosy on arrival."

Spotlessly clean and tidy; welcome flowers and card - handy milk in the fridge for that first cuppa on arrival. Really comfy bed too! Skelton Green is well placed for visiting places in North Yorkshire: Whitby, Staithes, Northallerton, York and Field View is an excellent base for exploration. Well recommended!

Thank you for your lovely comments Ruth, that means a lot. So happy you enjoyed your stay, hopefully we might see you again sometime. Take care Jo and Brian Property Owner

Ideal for the dog as it is on the edge of countryside, with a bridleway just down the lane where he could be let off the lead. Good position for exploring the coast and the moors, with lots to see and do in the area. Had a great holiday and would definitely stay again.

  • "The property was clean and comfortable,we had brought frozen food with us but turned out there was only an icebox in the small fridge."

Also the water in the shower doesn't go down fast enough so you have to turn it off when you wash your hair then let it drain a little before turning it back on to soap your body. Otherwise it will come over the tray. Take a can opener as there isn't one,but on the whole the cottage is great, and I would definitely like to go back, I will be recommending it to family and friends.

Thank you for your feedback Geraldine, I'm so sorry I completely forgot about a can opener, I have now bought one. As for the shower, Brian will check that and sort it. I believe you had spoken to Brian before your stay regarding the size of the freezer compartment and he explained that it was only a small one. Sorry if you've misunderstood and hope it didn't cause too much of an inconvenience. We would love to see you again, thanks again. All the best Jo and Brian xx Property Owner
