  • "We had an extremely enjoyable week at Wee Woody."

The property was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Loved the garden area and we used it a lot as we had some lovely weather. It is only a couple of steps from the front door which was not a problem for ourselves or our dog. The owner came to let us know we had no wifi as there had been an accident which had brought down the pole, this was very thoughtful of her. I would definitely recommend this accommodation as it is a very peaceful area and although on a golf course we heard very little from the golfers. There are plenty of walks nearby and some lovely places to visit Thank you Linda for the flowers and goodies and providing us with delightful accommodation.

Comfortable and well equipped. We were not disappointed. The owner Linda was easily contactable and attentive.the small issue we had was quickly dealt with. The secure garden was a real bonus for us as with the weather being nice we spent a lot of time out there. Truly dog friendly and the dog tag with address and and a Contact number that was provided for you to use on your dog while visiting was a really useful touch.. we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider a return visit st some point. Thankyou.

Nice and cosy with the log burner which we only had to use once as the weather was lovely. A lovely little cottage in a great location . We would book again . Underfloor heating was lovely , we just couldn’t get the one in the bathroom to work . The sofa , as other guests have commented is not very comfortable. Maybe a small corner sofa would be better ? Kitchen was fully equipped, with everything you may need and with a lovely welcome pack and dog bed , bowls and treats which Chase loved . They garden was as lovely and we sat relaxing in the sun eating breakfast and and in the afternoons it a real sun trap . Great location and a short drive into Cottingham centre and in to Beverley . Great info on local walks ranging in distances Highly recommend .

Wee Woody was perfect for us and our two small dogs. The enclosed garden area was ideal for evenings sat out in the sun and safe for the dogs. The location was very quiet with just the occasional sound of golfers cleaning and striking their balls off the first tee. Some lovely walks and decent cycle routes in the area too. Will definitely come again. The only minor drawback was a lack of clothes washing facilities, but we didn't need it on this occasion.

  • "Wee Woody is quite well provisioned for up to two people."

The kitchen facilities are good... although the wobbly tap needs sorting! There is everything you need for a comfortable stay in a good location. There are one or two things that need updating/ repairing like the shower head (doesn't sit properly in its holder) and the vacuum cleaner. I had hoped to remove most of my dogs hair before the cleaners came in but the Dyson wasn't working properly. The TV in the lounge has a mind of its own, randomly switching on when it feels like it. I do think the bedding could do with updating. Having said this, I have stayed before and will stay again as its a pleasant alternative to guest flats or hotels when visiting my mum. It's dog friendly and very near some excellent walks.

Bed very comfotable but needs spare blankets for really cold conditions. Quilt warm but needs the bigger size to prevent cold at the sides. Wood burning stove worked ok. Please check if there is a ventilator fitted which is a requirement for these stoves. Shower works ok but is incredibly noisy and does not give a good water flow. If there is a hot water tank you could use a standard shower and a separate pump. A sink drainer would make washing up easier. Lovely walks across the golf course.

It is small but has everything you might need, (apart from a decent sweeping brush for the floor). The weather was really cold but the cottage remained nice and warm, especially with the log burner. Top tip, don't build the log fire up as it gets too hot! Less is more otherwise you end up having to open the windows to let the heat out. Great place for dog walks starting from the public right of way at the side of the golf course. Cottingham is an easy walk and is a charming village. Great break and we will be back.

Cottage was very clean with good facilities. The owner was extremely helpful at all times. Lovely little touches such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival. Plus little treats left for our dog. It was in an ideal location for us for visiting family and friends. As it is on a golf course there was very little noise and extremely quite during the night so no disturbances. Only one problem was the bed, very clean but extremely soft and the bed frame was unstable. Suggest that if the bed was to be changed it could be up graded to a king size, we are not big people but found it to be a small double? Also a small ironing board and iron would have been useful.
