“Very quiet and peaceful.”

Due to lock down in area, not great deal to do. Enjoyed exercising dogs along the beach several times a day, enjoyed the fresh air. Wanted for nothing in the bungalow. ASDA about 3.5 miles away, all necessities there. Shame about the weather but, hey it was October! Second visit, will not be the last! Highly recommend this bungalow for a peaceful break away from everything and everybody.

“The cottage was as described and was comfortable but it was lacking in the kitchen area, only three teaspoons in a cottage meant for three and only four mugs.”

A Pyrex baking dish in the cupboard was covered in baked on fat, saucepans needed to be washed before use. Overall cleanliness could have been better, there were mucky corners on windowsills and in corner by front door. We did have a good week but a a few more mugs and spoons would have been nice and no mucky corners or dirty dishes. We had a Skyes cottage two years ago and it was top class so we did expect it to be better equipped and cleaner. However we will use Skyes again because if people don’t inform you of these things you won’t know and these things could easily be put right

Unfortunately Skinningrove was not the place for us. If you are into walking then it would be ideal but when you have mobility problems like my wife it's not. She even had problems getting down to the sea front on her mobility scooter due to uneven roads and steep kerbs.

stayed at bishops cottage for short break 3 days, lovely cottage has everything you need even an iron and cleaning stuff, tea coffee ,was also given milk chocs and a bottle of wine when we arrived.owners very helpful advising where to go eat ect . surrounding areas have some lovely beaches/coastline .the tiger inn a great place to eat and the fox and hounds friendly little pubs.the chipshop in skinningrove has the biggest fish ive ever seen and tastes great too. only sorry we missed the opening of the new bar and café attached to the cottages .takeaways deliver,bus stop right outside taxis easy enough to order and not to expensive. cottage tastefully decorated and the bed realy comfy I just didn't want to get out of it would deff stay again and recommend. also like to mention semi disabled friendly as its all on one leval with walk in shower I was on crutchs so ideal for me as I cannot do steps and need a bath lift to get in the bath

This was the first time myself and my dog stayed at Bishop`s Cottage, Skinningrove, and I was delighted. The cottage was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I love Skinningrove, and I have visited there many times, as I have friends in Loftus. It isn`t the prettiest place, but is unspoilt and it has interesting history. I love the beaches; the people are friendly and I notice that they are trying hard to enhance one or two areas , especially involving local children in `pride of Skinningrove` I definitely will return. what a fantastic cottage , set in quiet grounds. Then cottage itself was immaculate outside and within . spotlessly clean. Then owners live on site and could not have been more accomadating with places of interest for touring . Tyreman Court

Three delightful, single-storey cottages in a courtyard setting of five properties, in a quiet location in the coastal village of Skinningrove. These Skinningrove cottages have been built on the site of the original stables which housed the pit-ponies serving the old mine in the village, and have been thoughtfully designed, decorated and furnished to offer very comfortable, contemporary accommodation.
