  • "Even though the posting stated there was a tv it was not connected to any receiving device."

It looked like it's previous home was in the back room where there was a coax cable on the back room on the window ledge, the property could do with a combi boiler to replace the archaic system which still requires a hot water tank complete with immersion heater as this would improve the rate of flow from the hot water taps. Apart from this everything else was fine and the owner/s did everything they could to welcome us as their guests providing certain materials for the children, seasonal mini pumpkins placed in the back room along with some snacks & sweets & there was some milk in the fridge, hope to visit again.

Thanks for your response, we have taken your feedback and working on improving our guest experience. We've ensured the TV is connected to the internet providing basic channels and tv streaming applications. We're very pleased you enjoyed your stay, there will be more seasonal treats waiting for you on your welcomed return. Property Owner

  • "Lovely central position."

House spacious and warm. There were NO instructions about anything incl. how to work TV or washing machine or rubbish disposal. Smart TV would only work on BBC channels through I player. Owner sent nephew round but he could not work it either. Hot water pressure was extremely low. Would have taken 1hr + to run bath. Shower was good. Kitchen well equipped.

Thank you for your feedback, it allows us to improve our guest's experience. We have improved our welcome pack to include clear instructions, stating how to operate facilities around the house. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and would be happy to host you again. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was very spacious and surprisingly bigger than expected."

Lots of lighting and perfect for our family get together. The closeness of the town being on the doorstep was so handy with the canal and castle near by. There was a lovely token and tea left for us too which was much appreciated after a long journey. Will definitely be visiting again, thank you.

We're pleased you had an excellent stay, Skipton has a lot to offer! It would be fantastic to host you again. We appreciate your feedback. Property Owner

About the location

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
