  • "Home from home."

Extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and well-equipped accommodation. The mattress was so comfortable we both slept very well. Off street parking was a plus. Ideal location, a short walk along the canal path to the town centre and close to lots of other interesting places to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moor View.

Great to hear you enjoyed everything about Moor View Doreen and thanks for taking time to give your review Andy Property Owner

  • "Great location."

Easy walking distance to the centre. Off street parking was great. Lovely view of the canal. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, more than large enough for two people, shower was hot and powerful. Bed was comfortable and there was enough headroom despite it being on a mezzanine. The only negative which wasn’t really a problem for us was the stairs up to the apartment and the spiral stairs to the bedroom. That could be tricky for any older visitors.

Many thanks for your kind review of Moor View Dave and really glad you enjoyed it as well as the location. Thanks again Andy Property Owner

  • "The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped."

It is in an ideal location for many amenities in Skipton. It is very clean and welcoming. The spiral stairs to the sleeping area could be challenging to anyone unsteady on their feet and the headroom in the sleeping area is restricted.

Thanks for giving your kind review of Moor View Andrew and glad you found it to be a good base and enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "I was very pleased with my stay in this property."

the matrass on the bed was very comfortable for me so I could have good quality sleep. Quite often that is not the case. Only a short note on how this type of TV works, would be welcome for people who are not familiar with this one.

Thanks for taking time and for your kind words Gerda and we'll make sure you're sorted with TV next time. Glad you enjoyed your stay in Moor View Property Owner

About the location

Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2014, The Sunday Times named Skipton as Britain's "best place to live" and two years later placed it among the nine best towns in Yorkshire and the North-East. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
