This pretty stone, semi-detached cottage is in a courtyard setting, next to the owners’ home, in a lovely tranquil location, two miles from Brompton village.

Overlooking woodland, this quiet location is ideal for walkers and cyclists, but within a few minutes’ drive to the popular seaside town of Scarborough.

Traditionally furnished and providing comfortable accommodation, there is a cosy woodburning stove in the sitting room, with an archway leading into the contemporary kitchen.

Upstairs, the two bedrooms are fresh and bright, sharing a tiled, modern bathroom, and there’s also the convenience of an off road parking space.

The villages of Brompton and Snainton are both two miles away and offer local inns, serving good food, a shop and a fish and chip shop.

Based in a wonderful spot, this lovely cottage is close to Dalby Forest, which offers a fantastic network of cycle tracks and walking trails, with an activity centre and tea room, whilst a little further, brings you into the stunning countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

Nearby Scarborough, is a vibrant coastal resort, with sandy beaches, pretty ornamental gardens and brightly painted beach huts.

Enjoy a walk along the promenade from North Bay to South Bay, taking in the sweeping sea views, or explore the castle ruins, perched high on the hill, next to St. Mary's church.

With some excellent restaurants, quaint tea rooms and splendid fish and chips, there is something for all tastes.

A well placed holiday home for a varied and interesting break.
