Retaining much charm and character, with beamed ceilings and stripped pine doors, there is a spacious dining room, with a cosy woodburner set in the original feature fireplace - a lovely room to sit, chat and linger over a meal.
The sitting room is equally as inviting, with a crackling open fire, comfortable leather sofas and the TV with NOW film and entertainment package - sure to be a big hit with the children!
Upstairs, are three pretty bedrooms and the family bathroom.
The large and long enclosed rear garden to The Haven is an absolute delight, with a gravelled patio and lawned area which can be sectioned off if needed.
With shrubs, flowers and trees, it provides a safe haven for children and our four legged friends to play, or to relax in the sunshine with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day.
A minutes’ walk from the property brings you to the local inn, with the village shop and fish and chips a couple of minutes further, while there are many nearby walks, both in the Forge Valley and Dalby Forest, which has numerous cycling tracks for all abilities.
The popular seaside town of Scarborough is a few minutes’ drive and offers something for everyone, with its two sweeping sandy bays, joined by a long promenade, with the castle ruins perched high on the cliffs above.
With donkey rides, amusements and candy floss to enjoy and some excellent restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, you are spoilt for choice.
There are many attractions in this traditional resort, including the open air theatre in Peasholm Park, the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round, the Sealife Centre at Northbay and art galleries and museums.
The surrounding countryside of the North York Moors has miles of scenic cycle routes and a wonderful network of public footpaths that take you through spectacular scenery and moorland, while the historic market town of Pickering, hosts the famous steam railway, a trout farm and many interesting and independent shops.

The lovely, country village of Snainton is situated at the foot of the North York Moors and is an ideal location from which to explore the popular coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. Snainton boasts a village shop/post office, two pubs serving food, a fabulous riding centre catering for all ages and abilities, and an excellent children’s playground. A driving range with par 3, 9 hole golf course is close by and many walks, cycle rides and country drives can be found in the vicinity. Experience Scampston Walled Garden with its renowned restaurant, enjoy a day’s fishing at Wykeham, 4 miles away, or visit Dalby Forest with its good walking, mountain biking and “Go Ape” walks for the more adventurous! Pickering, with its famous steam railway, castle and Beck Isle Museum, and the historic city of York are both within easy driving distance.
