The location is perfect, with easy access to so many great walks, we choose Runswick Bay to Staithes, Ravensar to Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend & Musgrave Estate, Falling Foss Waterfall/Forest Walk & Tea Garden and not forgetting The Monks Trod to Whitby ending each day relaxing in a lovely comfortable apartment, it had everything we needed to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

  • "A spacious apartment in a very convenient location for exploring both Whitby and the surrounding area."

The owner was prompt and most helpful when a minor weather related problem occurred, which we felt ought to be brought to her attention. Big garden with wonderful views towards Whitby and the Abbey. Good food at local pub within easy walking distance.

Door to apartment difficult to lock and unlock. Remote garden and outside seating.

Thank you for your feedback. This is a traditional Grade 2 listed property and the bedroom windows cannot be opened, however the window in the connecting en suite does open fully. There is also an effective pedestal fan for the hot weather. There is a small front garden and a much larger one , quiet with beautiful views towards Whitby Abbey just at the back of the building. The apartment door has now been adjusted. • "The area was stunning and well worth the visit."

We would visit again but not from Sneaton Hall. The weather was hot and sunny but we could only open the small window in the bathroom. All bedding needed replacing. It was lean but very worn. Lesley

Thank you for your feedback. The bedding is new and is top quality and of a high thread count, so may feel finer than much other bedding.I am sorry this was not to your taste. Please see previous comment about the window Property Owner

The garden is beautiful and such a lovely place to sit the evenings, with such an amazing view. The kitchen has everything you need to cook plus washer/dryer. The TV has freeview and it was easy to connect our online accounts to it. Fantastic communication from the owner nothing was too much trouble for her. The farm cafe and pub that are within easy walking distance serve great food, highly recommend the Beacon Farm breakfast. Great location to travel and see the beautiful villages around you. • "The property was easy to find, clean and comfortable, with a good sized kitchen area for self catering, though the Wilson Arms, just a short walk away provided good food at reasonable prices."

It is a good situation for visiting the various places of interest in the area, and the designated off-road parking made life easy. We look forward to visiting again.

  • "We had a lovely time, we had thought we could walk to whitby as it says it's only a three mile distance, we are both keen walkers and that distance is nothing to us."

However I would say it's quite a challenging walk especially the first part as it's quite steep and I think if it was wet it would be very slippery, and I imagine it would take a good hour and a half to complete. It just would have saved us taking the car and having to get a parking space.

  • "It was a lovely comfortable, clean apartment in a grade 2 listed house."

Furnishings and decoration were very stylish and suited the period property. Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay was provided, including hand sanitiser. Bed was comfortable and although we were next to a busy road, complete peace and quiet at night. A lovely well kept communal garden to use with furniture too. Good parking at the property, with walks from the door to Whitby. Wouldn't hesitate in staying here again, great communication from the owner too, giving clear instructions and timings.

A beautifully decorated apartment lots of lovely finishing touches really special somebody had a good eye when furnishing this place my only criticism is the bed and the pillows the bed was quite uncomfortable and they really need to invest in some decent pillows having said this I would go back as it really was lovely but I would take my own pillows

Thanks for your helpful comments and giving me top marks overall in your feedback to Sykes. Having contacted you, I understand that the bed was too firm for you. The Mattress is new and is memory foam, to increase the comfort I have now added a thick mattress toppers, I have also changed the pillows. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and I am pleased you are planning to return. Property Owner
