  • "Had a lovely stay at Lucy's Retreat."

Fantastic location for town and beach walks. We'll equipped kitchen. Warm and cosy. Would recommend.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Lucy's Retreat."

It is in a very good position close to the Spa & beach. Very comfortable & nice decor. The negatives are the parking, our first day we had to park two roads away. We managed to get closer on the Monday. Also it is perhaps not dog friendly if like us you have a dog who barks at any noise, as the resident upstairs ( a nice chap) goes to work very early. If it had been just us I don't think it would have bothered us.

  • "Light, bright, spacious, beautiful decor."

Good kitchen facilities ( though no coffee maker as advertised) - we eat out each day, and leave around 11am, come back around 8 pm, so never used other facilities..though the washing machine was used once and that was a great help, being able to peg outside in the locked back area.. The owner was very helpful in providing facilities to enable us to re-charge the mobility scooter ( many thanks!) The street is quiet, and the king size bed is the most comfortable ever. We arranged with the lovely neighbour upstairs, to park where he usually does, right on the frontage, because we intended never to move the car until we came home. He had parking on the roadside then, in front of us. Very near the Spa Theatre, and the promenade and beach. A perfect place for us. We really enjoyed, and would love to come again in the future.

Hi thanks for your lovely review, hope to see you again soon. ( really sorry about the coffee machine, it was damaged the week before and the new one still hasn’t arrived) Property Owner

The flat was lovely clean the bed was so comfortable the table and stools in the kitchen was too high for me the parking was the downfall on this property I don't no if its private renting but I think flat 1 should have park space in front of window because I'm disabled we had to park in next street for the first/second day other than that nice break

  • "Great location close to all amenities."

Quiet and peaceful at night. Pint of milk in fridge and tea/coffee sachets provided. NIce. Some negatives: Bed and pillows a bit squishy for my liking. Not enough washing up stuff - one used sponge scourer and a tiny amount of washing up liquid. The toilet brush was so firmly stuck in the holder that It felt a bit like an EXCALIBUR challenge that I did not pass. I turned the electric scenters off in the bedroom and main room as I found them too cloying. The front door lock needs a bit of TLC. The blinds on main window were slightly warped and there were gaps so did not feel entirely private. Not really a comfy place to eat meals as the high table in kitchen was way too high for me. The shower cubicle was very intimate for me as a larger person. There are bins outside for recycling and general rubbish but only one general dustbin in kitchen. The TV could be updated and include Netflix or such. What I'd say was a six or seven out of ten now could easily be nine or ten with some attention as the location is so good.

  • "The stay was lively."

Immaculate and homely. Little extras were so much appreciated. One little minor thing. We would have liked a rubber shower mat. That’s the only point to bake. It was absolutely a brill stay.

  • "We had a great week in Lucy’s retreat."

House was really nice and modern. Everything you needed was there. Bridlington is a lovely seaside town and is only a few minutes walk to the town or the beach. There is loads of parking at the top of the road which is 5 minutes away and we parked outside no problem to load and unload the car. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Lucy’s. X

  • "Apartment was fine - strange layout, but we got used to it."

Our only gripe would be the heating.....or lack of it. Central heating was programmed to run between 16:30 & 21:00, with no way of overriding. Electric fire in the front room, but the rest of the house was freezing! I'm glad I didn't stay a week earlier when the weather was much colder.

  • "Very clean and well maintained property, close to the beach."

Parking is difficult near the property, but no problem parking on next street. Need more than 1 towel each for a week stay.. First property we have stayed at with no thermostat. Could not turn heating off or on when needed. Would be good to have a basket in the shower for shampoo etc We did enjoy our stay

  • "Comfortable apartment."

Lack of crockery in kitchen. There were no dinner plates only 8inch small plates and needed certain tins for cooking lasagne etc. Breakfast bar was too high and stools to high to eat off. Needs a comfortable table and chairs for people like myself with arthritis and not to climb high on bar stools. Mattress overhung the bed about 5inches. Carpets need a deep clean as they were stained and smelled of dogs. The door to apartment needs to be more secure as it's only an internal door. Front garden bench was unfit for use. Otherwise the property is comfortable and clean except where specified.

This is a 2 person flat and there is 4 of everything sorry you where unable to find the 4 large dinner plates. The breakfast bar and stools are a standard hight ( there is a glass table and 2 chairs in the flats private rear garden for your use). The flat has a king size bed with a king size memory foam mattress. The carpets are cleaned regularly (where cleaned 2 weeks ago) whilst this property is dog friendly we make every possible effort to keep it clean and smelling lovely. There is a double glassed locking front door to this property. The front garden bench belongs to the upstairs flat. Lucy’s Retreat has a private sunny rear garden with table and chairs for your use. • "An otherwise perfect holiday was ruined due to parking issues."

My car was blocked in for the whole 7 days. The owner of the flat above leaves for workboat 5am daily and does not take the car. He also constantly left the front door unlocked and left his keys on the hall mat for anyone to come and go. Noisy at night. This is a pity as the accommodate was wonderfully clean and spacious however I would never stay there again nor recommend it.

The parking space you occupied belongs to the flat above. Our holiday flat is not advertised with a parking space however there is ample free on street parking. We are sorry that you found it noisy at times, this holiday flat is 50 yards from the beach and spa theatre and it does get busy at this time of year. Whilst we can’t control the locking of the front door the holiday flat has its own locking door and you have keys for both doors. We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. Property Owner

the holiday home is in a perfect location, just 2 minutes from the beach. Spotlessly clean, very spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The information booklet had lots of good tips too, nearest shop, nearest bar, nicest takeaways etc. A lovely, last minute getaway, we would definitely visit it again. Friendly touches like milk in the fridge, dog bowls, dog waste bags, all welcoming. Oh and the little garden is a lovely suntrap Thank you Lucys Retreat, we loved it.

  • "We had a 5 night stay and found the facilities ideal for the two of us."

We had our dog with us and he benefited from the enclosed garden. Everything was clean and well cared for and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary utensils including coffee machine and microwave. Only car parking proved bothersome but was sorted by coming to an arrangement with the upstairs neighbour. All in all a lovely stay and is highly recommended for a comfortable break.
