The property

This attractive, Victorian, mid-terrace house is situated in the traditional seaside town of Hornsea, in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

With just a five-minute stroll to the beach, it provides a superb base for an enjoyable family holiday, with all amenities close at hand.

Renovated to a good standard, it retains much of the original character, from the high ceilings and ornate ceiling roses to the spacious rooms.

On the ground floor is a bright and elegant sitting room, with a large bay window throwing in plenty of light - an open fire is housed in a brick feature fireplace lending itself to winter evenings in.

An open doorway leads into the family dining room, with extra seating providing a quiet corner to relax and read a book or to enjoy a wonderful home-cooked meal.

Upstairs, and set over two floors, there are four bedrooms, all tastefully furnished, with quality beds - glimpses of the sea can be seen from one of the twin rooms.

Outside, there is a rear, sheltered courtyard garden, where you can sit and relax with a morning coffee whilst planning your day.

With the added benefit of off-road parking, this welcoming property is sure to be a big hit.

Walk along to the end of the road to the seafront, with long sandy beaches, a pretty promenade and ornamental gardens to enjoy.

A little further brings you to the bustling town centre, with cafes, quaint tea rooms and independent shops to browse.

Close by is Hornsea Mere, a large, natural lake that offers a range of water activities, whilst for a little retail therapy, there is Hornsea Freeport retail outlet.

The surrounding area has much to offer the holiday maker, with the high, chalk cliffs at Bempton RSPB reserve, home to colonies of sea birds and a number of stately homes and gardens to visit, including Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall.

With the beautiful scenery of the rolling Yorkshire Wolds also ripe to explore, this inviting property has something to delight everyone.

Bridlington 15 miles.

The pretty seaside town of Hornsea lies on the East Coast, 15 miles south of Bridlington. This old Victorian resort has long, wide, safe sandy beaches and an attractive promenade with well-kept gardens, ideal for families. The bustling town centre has an old-fashioned feel with a good variety of small shops, pubs and cafes, whilst nearby Hornsea Mere is the largest natural lake in Yorkshire and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. Hornsea Freeport is popular for shopping, whilst Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve can be reached in just over half an hour's drive, offering one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain. Hornsea is near to Wassand Hall and walled gardens and provides a good base for touring the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and the East Riding coastal resorts. The historic city of York and The Deep at Hull are within an easy drive.
