We really enjoyed our break at Puffins Landing. After initially having a hick up with the booking, which was resolved promptly by Sykes we were looking forward to our stay. The lodge is very spacious, well equipped and was spotlessly clean. There was very good information in the lodge including a welcome pack from the owner with some local advice, lots of information on things to do and full instructions for all the appliances. Only minor point to note were that the key safe was a bit fiddly ...

Only minor point to note were that the key safe was a bit fiddly to get into and lock up at the end but fortunately the owners family members attended to carry out a minor repair to an internal door handle just as we were leaving and was able to assist with this. The key was screwed to part of the key safe and as there was no spare in the lodge which meant that we had to carry this around with us. I would also highlight that the main TV in the lodge is a Smart TV and has access to Netflix, we were unaware of this and much to the frustration of my daughter she did not bring her login details. Not that we had much time to watch TV anyway! The site is lovely, very quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife and we had a lot of fun watching the local Squirrel try and steal the nuts out of the bird feeder. It is in a great location for access to York, the Coast and if you are a shopping addict the big cities of Hull and Leeds. As I said we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back to Puffins Landing again.
