  • "Property, clean and very well equipped."

Cooking was easy and a pleasure. Lots of extra touches which were clearly thought out and very much enjoyed. You really do feel spoilt at this property with its extra touches and its cosy hugge vibes. Graham was on on hand with any questions about property or the area and it’s clear they both put a lot of effort into making you feel welcome. We’d visit again with no hesitation. We are also an autism family, so going away is a big deal, this place made us feel at home and a great place for us all to decompress in comfort after some busy days visiting the sites. More so than any other property to date. Thank you

Graham and Jane couldn't have been more generous hosts. Stamford Bridge has a surprising range of shops, pubs and takeaways including a Co-op open daily from 6 to 10. York is an easy journey via Park and Ride. Lots of other really attractive destinations within easy reach - Castle Howard, RSPB Bempton to name just a couple. Highly recommended.

  • "Great location for visiting York."

Best welcome pack we've ever had. Very generous. Stamford Bridge is a lovely place. Next door to the pub, which is next door to the fish and chip. Cake shop and bakers across the road. Amazing pork pies from the butchers across the square. Whisky shop. Excellent bistro. Plus chinese and indian too. So much for such a small place. Pretty riverside walks. Bus into York was only £10 for the day for all three of us. 100% spotlessly clean. You can see a lot of love goes into the place.

  • "Top class accommodation - clean, warm, comfortable, cosy and finished to a very high spec."

The owners have gone above and beyond to provide every facility. The care and attention to detail is evident as soon as you enter and continues throughout the house. The bathroom is like a luxury spa retreat. The interior design is excellent. The Welcome Pack is the most thoughtful and generous I have experienced. Nice location to explore York and the surrounding area. The owners are kind, welcoming and there if you need anything - but not intrusive. Thank you for sharing River View with us.

  • "This was the perfect holiday cottage, spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming and extremely comfortable."

It is equipped with everything you need and more! The situation is great, a few minutes drive from the park and ride for York, (if you don’t know York I would use it) and in the middle of a large village. A shop, restaurants and pubs are all close by. The owners are on hand and are very welcoming and left a wonderful welcome pack for us.

  • "River View was amazing!"

Real home from home with everything that you could possibly need. Location is fantastic for so many places. Graham is a fantastic host and the cottage is furnished (gorgeous interior) and equipped for all your needs. A welcome pack was provided and a lot of thought was put into it for our teenagers to enjoy as well as ourselves. A prompt visit to see if we had settled in by Graham led to him giving us a bottle of processo which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this cottage to any family or group of friends to enjoy. The village had bakers/butchers/pharmacy and a choice of pizza, Indian and Chinese takeaway. Although a pub is next door it was very quiet at night. Would 100% return.
