“Lovely wee cottage on the edge of Nafferton, next to the station, ten minute walk to local shop.”

Great location to explore the area and very quiet indeed. The cottage itself comfortably holds four adults, we were a party of three adults with one small dog, whose needs were also well catered for. There are small garden areas to front and rear of the property, the front is not enclosed, but the back (accessed through patio door in the main bedroom) is secure. Weather wasn’t nice enough for us to sit out there, but it pleased the dog. We really enjoyed our (too short stay) and would ...

About the location

NAFFERTON

Driffield 2 miles; Bridlington 9 miles; York 29 miles.

The village of Nafferton is conveniently situated in the pretty countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, yet only 2 miles from the market town of Driffield and 9 miles from the seaside resort of Bridlington. A large village, with mainly traditional dwellings that cluster around the mere and village greens, it is served by three country pubs, a village shop, a post office and a fish and chip shop. The railway station there is only 2 minutes walk away and extremely useful; only one stop to Bridlington and four to Scarborough! This is a lovely area for gentle walking, exploring the countryside and visiting stately homes and gardens such as Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall. A short ride takes you to the popular east coast seaside resorts with their long sandy beaches, whilst the historical City of York, with its famous minster, is well worth a visit.
