  • "Very clean ,well kept bungalow."

Great having the enclosed back garden for the dog. Very well placed for travelling to coastal towns either by car or train.Train station a few hundred yards from house. Star inn in village does good food and dogs allowed in bar area. Would certainly recommend this property and would use again if back in that area

  • "The cottage was in a beautiful quiet, village location, well away from the busy seaside towns but within easy reach of the coast!"

We had a delightful stay. Covid hygiene was excellent and very well thought through. We felt comfortable, safe, and felt that the owners had thought of everything! A great stay, thank you!

  • "Lovely wee cottage on the edge of Nafferton, next to the station, ten minute walk to local shop."

Great location to explore the area and very quiet indeed. The cottage itself comfortably holds four adults, we were a party of three adults with one small dog, whose needs were also well catered for. There are small garden areas to front and rear of the property, the front is not enclosed, but the back (accessed through patio door in the main bedroom) is secure. Weather wasn’t nice enough for us to sit out there, but it pleased the dog. We really enjoyed our (too short stay) and would certainly recommend the property and the location.

  • "Very helpful owner."

Promptly dealt with the breakdown of the heating system. We were impressed by the thoughtful provision of the 'little' things provided such as kitchen scissors, non-slip mat in the bath, oven gloves etc - often overlooked in rented property.

  • "The facilities were very good for a bicycle user, the bath was big guy compatible, the kitchen was very well equipped and so clean it discouraged any dirty dish making, the railway was super convenient, although I never used it as the beaches were brimming with bronzed costa brava wannabees, the cottage was a perfect getaway from all that, the bed was very comfortable, the fan was considerately included, the clock was fun."

Lots of thought given to ensuring lots of storage space. On arrival flowers on table and bottle of wine and milk in fridge. Even bowls, blanket, treats etc supplied for our dog. Best cottage we have stayed in, cannot think of anything that could be improved. Lots of places to visit within a short drive.

  • "This bungalow is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in."

We were so happy when we opened the door. It is so modern and spotlessly clean. It is a real home from home. There was even milk in the fridge and wine on the table!! Absolutely fantastic!! Thank you very much for making out holiday complete.

  • "We had not visited this part of Yorkshire before but the location has many benefits, not least access to a regular train service within two minutes walk of the accommodation."

We were able to visit Hull, Beverley and Bridlington at our ease. The bungalow itself was excellent and much more spacious than we had anticipated as the frontage gives the impression of being quite small. The refurbishment of the property has been done to a high standard and consequently we have given the best ratings for cleanliness, comfort and facilities. The only small point of criticism would be the absence of a few small items, a brush and dustpan would have been useful although there was a vacuum cleaner. We never make tea by the cup, we drink too much of it, but there was no teapot! The Trout Inn at Wansford (1.5 miles) is worth a visit too.

  • "A really nice place to stay, everything is on the ground floor - important for my parents."

The beds were excellent, the area is nice and quiet, so sleep was great. The property is more spacious than the photographs would suggest, so we were pleasantly surprised. All facilities were high quality - washing machine, dishwasher, cooking and dining utensils - were top class. A short stroll to the duck pond or a 100 metre walk to the quiet train station, meant that everything was handy. A great, relaxing hub to explore the area. The area is absolutely perfect for a relaxing holiday.

A large village, with mainly traditional dwellings that cluster around the mere and village greens, it is served by three country pubs, a village shop, a post office and a fish and chip shop. The railway station there is only 2 minutes walk away and extremely useful; only one stop to Bridlington and four to Scarborough!
