  • "5 College Square in Stokesley is a beautiful cottage located in the centre of the town."

It is excellently equipped and is very convenient for local shops and restaurants. It's location is excellent to access the North York Moors and the North Yorkshire coast such as Whitby and Staithes and with a little investigation you can also find quieter less well known places.

Ie the stairs were difficult to use, and there were no wardrobes. Instead there were hooks on the back of doors(three in bathroom) with coat hangers. This information should be included so that visitors can make a better choice. The owner did provide us with a portable hanging rail which sufficed for our short stay.Other facilities were adequate.

Fabulous linens used in each bedroom, comfortable living spaces with plenty of great books to read and enjoy. Everything that you need is right here, great location, lovely town with bakers, butchers, green grocers and a farmers market on Saturday. We had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to the owner, Carl he had lots of great tips and ideas for places to visit. I don't know what more to add except, Perfectā€™ donā€™t hesitate to book, a five star stay. Many thanks!

Parking was easy, directly in front of the cottage. Carl the owner rang to make sure everything was OK and gave us some local info. His cottage is spotlessly clean, comfy, tastefully decorated with amazing art, books and fresh flowers left for us. The kitchen is well equipped, a real home from home. We would certainly look forward to a return visit.

The cottage is Fantastic and is decorated to a high standard. It was very cosy and comfortable and the beds were so comfy . It has everything you need for a home to home cottage. The high street has plenty of shops , bars and restaurants right on your doorstep , all dog friendly and there is a local Co op on the high street too for those additional groceries you need. As itā€™s a 3 storey cottage thereā€™s plenty of space and the top floor has great views across the square. We loved our stay, thankyou to Carl the owner for a wonderful stay.

  • "Beautiful stylish cottage in a great town centre location."

We had no issues ever getting parked close to the house even on market days. The cottage was warm and toasty... actually we turned down the heating for our comfort! The bed was really comfy, best nights sleep I had in ages. Despite being right in the centre of town we were never disturbed by any noise. There are no wardrobes in the double bedroom so you have to leave all your belongings in a case, which for a long stay may be inconvenient, but this in no way impacted on our three night stay. Stokesley is a gem of a town, and we would happily return

I found the cottage on Sykes and placed the enquiry. Within minutes somebody had contacted me from Sykes saying they had made the request with the owner and would get straight back once they had gained approval. The whole process was very quick and the customer service from Sykes was first class. The owner (Carl) was also brilliant, when I explained the situation he wanted to help in any way he could, he even offered us an extra night which was an amazing gesture and greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all, you made a difficult situation a whole lot better. The cottage was perfect and Stokesley was a beautiful market town. On one of the evenings I walked up Roseberry Topping (about 10min drive) which gave amazing views of the surrounding area. I would highly recommend the cottage, town and area as a whole.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful, leaving milk and biscuits in the fridge, and even providing chilled watermelon for the very hot journey home. Our dog was also well cared for with a super-comfy dog bed and dog treats left by the owner. Stokesley is a lovely town and has everything you could need right on the doorstep of the cottage, with a very good selection of independent shops and restaurants within easy and level walking distance. Stokesley is an attractive, elegant, historic market town which was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, with many interesting Georgian and Victorian buildings. The River Leven flows through the town and is crossed by the ancient Pack Horse Bridge.
