  • "Modern, comfortable well equiped, immaculately clean caravan in a lovely location on the site."

The enclosed balcony and seating was a sun trap. Slight negatives, the sheet on the double bed was in a shocking state, bobbly and rough, ready for bin. The kitchen scissors were not fit for purpose fortunately I have some in my first aid kit I could use, and lastly a spare bin liner would have been nice as I didn't take any spares so had to buy some. As I said very slight negatives but the only faults I came across and would definitely return.

Hi I’m really sorry about the negative’s you experienced. I will make sure the sheet is replaced and will get new scissors and spare bin liners in place as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your feedback. Property Owner

  • "We booked this lodge on a bit of a whim, the pictures looked lovely bit with no reviews we were a little nervous."

Turns out we need not have been. We arrived to a spotless place (with vacuum lines in the carpet so I know it had been cleaned well!) The bathrooms were spotless and the bedding lovely and crisp. The lodge is in a quieter area of the park and has its own car parking spot which is very helpful. The lodge itself is well appointed and has everything you need. The two toilets are useful but the bathrooms are small (to be expected not a criticism in any way). There was a vacuum, iron and hairdryer which was helpful. Especially the vacuum as with kids who make crumbs daily I try my best to keep places clean. The heating is super efficient and although we tried to use it the bare minimum it was fast to heat the place on a chilly evening. We did not pay for entertainment passes as its not really our thing but we were still able to pay for the kids to do activities such as the high ropes which they loved. During the day we could also access the arcade. There are some food options on the park and we only tried the fish and chippery which was ok, nothing too special. Theres also a little supermarket which carries the essential, with a mark up as you'd expect but can be useful if you forget things. We did a click and collect food order from Morrisons which is 8 minutes drive away. From the park you can walk to the beach in about 10 minutes although it is down a steep hill followed by steps so if you're not as able then it might not be as accessible. We drive an electric car and although the park advertises two electric chargers we could not get them working and neither could others. They are slow and temperamental so do not rely on them. However if you do need electric then Mcdonalds (with Morrisons) has two super fast chargers which are useful. Overall it was a great break and we'd def have it on our list to return to in the future.

  • "Lovely caravan, very new and has great facilities, the washing machine being a big bonus for us with a very messy toddler haha."

We have stayed at Cayton many times over the years and on this site so already love the location and facilities but this caravan has to be one of the nicest, the secure veranda at the front was a huge plus for us as our toddler is a runner so we knew he could be outside here and safe.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and for taking the time to give me my very first feedback. Property Owner
