Very spacious with plenty of room for our party. We found it comfortable and the facilities were good. However had to mark it down on the cleanliness had to clean the oven & grill on first night! There were few stains on table & mirror & cob Web in skylark what had been missed....saying this it did not effect our stay we had great week & the site is brilliant for family holidays

Unfortunately, the shower in the master bedroom was out of action for the duration of our 3 night stay. The owners did notify us shortly after our arrival that they hadn’t been able to resolve the issue in time for our stay, but it was an inconvenience nevertheless as 4 adults and 3 children had to share one shower. We also experienced a problem with the door handle ( master bedroom ) but this was resolved within an hour of phoning the owner. It’s such a pity about the shower issue as 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

Thank you for your feedback. Very sorry about the shower issue we were waiting for parts to fix which was out of our hands. It has now been rectified. Hopefully welcome you back again in the future Property Owner

  • "Location of lodge is wonderful, however the cleanliness was NOT what it first appeared."

On entering the lodge on arrival all looked as I would expect. As we couldn't get in until 4pm, we didn't go far the first night. Having showered and sat in to watch TV, we were horrified to find that the carpets were filthy so much so that feet had to be washed again before getting into bed. The window in the second bedroom didn't open and made sleeping very uncomfortable. The decor needs to be tidied up with more than a splash of paint that doesn't match in colour. It really was just attention to detail - cleaning of carpets, fixing the window, take a look at the decoration throughout. Bigger towels are needed as the ones supplied were not big enough to cover an adult !!! The bottle of wine and bar of chocolate was a nice touch and appreciated.

This is very strange as this lodge had an annual inspection by a Sykes manager only 2 days prior to your arrival and no one else had been in since that. Very strange really. Property Owner

The positioning on the park was ideal, a quiet spot and safe for the children as we have a disabled child, who enjoyed himself thoroughly. The lodge on arrival was very clean and welcoming. We also found the holiday park had something for everyone and was ideally placed for visiting the surrounding area

  • "Lodge was well placed in the site to be away from the busy parts of the park, but close enough to walk to the restaurant."

We were amazed at the space we had inside when we walked in. The facilities in the van where great and a lovely welcome of essentials, chocolates and a nice glass of wine. Everyone enjoyed their stay, and although we had a slight issue with the shower temperature the owner was on it in a flash and sorted us out. I would highly recommend this Lodge and the owners. Thank you for a great stay and a memorable birthday event.

  • "The accommodation was great, plenty room, clean and well equipped."

The caravan park was ok but very expensive, the entertainment pass cost nearly £100 for a weekend for 3 adults and 1 child and only covered the swimming pool and kids club. Everything else was to pay for, crazy golf (where my grandson got stung by nettles) high ropes, bungee bouncing, pedal go carts etc. My advice is don’t bother with the pass, It’s not worth it.

  • "The lodge needs a blumming good scrub inside and out!"

We cleaned the decking and the tables ourselves on arrival, they were filthy! The light for the en-suite didn’t work, the dressing table drawer was broken, the wall paper is starting to come away in the master bedroom and the paintwork needs refreshing - the oven is past its best and in-efficient and the Wi-fi virtually none existent. Arrival is not allowed until 4pm and departure is 10am - this lodge should be spotless and these small jobs should be done. After cleaning we made the most of our weekend and enjoyed ourselves, but in my opinion it is overpriced which is such a shame because with a little tlc it could be beautiful.

Our first time in a lodge in the uk and we were blown away when we opened the front door to the lodge, it’s was homely, spacious and very clean, with an added touch of a welcome pack. We come to Scarborough a lot and mostly stay in hotel but having our 5 year old granddaughter with us there was plenty to keep her and the family entertained. Would highly recommend this beautiful lodge and we will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, kind regards the Lundy family x

  • "We booked this cottage last minute and unfortunately we didn’t do adequate research before booking."

The trailer is located on a huge busy holiday camp. Our biggest complaint is that the WiFi is inadequate which was very very frustrating. Often we had no signal what so ever. The living area was a lovely size and very comfortable but the bedrooms tiny. Apart from one side of the bed in the master bedroom the rest of the party had to clamber over the beds to get in and out. The children’s room with two bunk beds leave very little space to move around and the beds block most of the light from the window so it’s very dark. The oven needs replacing and the trailer would benefit from having instructions on how to operate the appliances. We used the washer dryer once and the machine ran for 7 hrs and at the end the clothes were not dry.

  • "The holiday lodge was very clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped."

It is located in a nice, quiet spot with the park facilities are all in walking distance. The booking process was easy and arrival instructions were excellent. We were delighted with the space and comfort the lodge gave us and with the ramp and walk in shower it was perfect for my elderly mum and aunty with her little dog. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates were a lovely gesture. We arranged a grocery delivery for the arrival evening which meant we could stock the fridge freezer and gave us the option of eating in to stay Covid safe if we wanted. Being so well equipped made that easy. The lodge was warm and comfortable. Whatever the weather it is perfect. There is a lovely patio with comfortable seating for warm sunny days and heating and a fire if it’s chilly and you want to snuggle up with a good book or watch one of the 3 televisions! I loved the fact that the Cleveland Way was so close and provides a fantastic coastal walk with great scenery. Our original holiday plans have been disrupted due to Covid19 but this holiday gave us time to relax, explore the area and live comfortably and well in a quality holiday home. Thank you!!
