In the bathroom adjoining the double bedroom, there was no hand rails and no towel rails on which to dry the towels. Also the floor of this bathroom got very wet when using the shower due to high pressure. The other twin bedroom had no hand rails in the bathroom either. We also had an issue with having no TV for a couple of days. I did contact the owner who said there wasn't a signal due to hot weather !! Some of the crockery in the kitchen was chipped. On the night that it rained we also had a leak in the kitchen ceiling/roof. Puddle on kitchen floor in the morning. Otherwise everything else was fine. It was clean and comfortable.

The property

A delightful, stone-built, detached barn conversion, set in a peaceful location in the picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale, 2 miles from Pickering.

Decorated and equipped to a high standard, the property offers spacious and comfortable accommodation which has been carefully renovated to retain much of the original charm and character, boasting vaulted ceilings, beautiful exposed beams and a superb open plan living area.

The village square, with its gift shops, scrumptious tea rooms and bistros is within easy walking distance, and the pretty stream running through offers an idyllic setting for tranquil walks.

An excellent base for exploring the nearby market towns and the North York Moors, with the seaside resort of Scarborough just 16 miles away and excellent mountain biking in Dalby Forest, The Old Coach House has something to please everyone!
