“The Old Coach House is set in a quiet lane a 10 minute walk from the centre of picturesque Thornton - le - Dale.”

The coach house has been renovated to a high standard, is clean and comfortably furnished.

The coach house has been renovated to a high standard, is clean and comfortably furnished. The only negative was that the ensuite bath room attached to the room with the double bed is in need of redecorating as the pain is peeling from the walls. The shower screen requires repair/fixing which the vendor informed us about on arrival. Also the lightening in this room is very poor and my elderly parents struggled to know whether the lights were on or off.

About the location

THORNTON-LE-DALE

Pickering 3 miles; Scarborough 16 miles; York 25 miles.

The beautiful village of Thornton-le-Dale lies just two miles to the east of Pickering within The North York Moors National Park. Much of its charm comes from its complicated shape - a fascinating jumble of streams and paths and pretty houses with an attractive village green which still has its wooden stocks and a market cross. The village offers a selection of shops, pubs and tea rooms. The nearby market town of Pickering offers a good range of amenities and the famous North York Moors Steam Railway. There are broad fields above and below the village and views to the south across the Vale of Pickering, whilst to the north is the Forestry Commission's Dalby Forest, with several excellent nature trails to be enjoyed. Further afield, but within driving distance, are the east coast and the city of York.
