  • "We had a delightful week at The Annexe, with perfect weather too."

The only problem we overlooked when booking is there's no WiFi, but we limped through with H at best. With reference to my previous comment which was posted by mistake, yes, the mattress is too soft, and in our opinion needs updating, but the only reason stopping us from returning in the future is the WiFi.

  • "The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very nicely furnished, very well equipped."

In fact everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. The lady who ownes the property could not have been more helpful. It's the first time we have been to this area, so found lots of new places to visit. The village in which it's situated is very quiet so we could get some good nights sleep. There are two pubs in easy walking distance, which we are told do nice meals. However due to Covid-19 we were unable to visit. In conclusion we can highly recommend The Annex and will certainly stay there again when we return to that area.

Just a few grumbles no were to hang your every day coats (could have done with some hooks at the back of a door ) the plug in the bath room sink did not work only two tea towels(I had to buy some) no dishes to cook meat in (I bought some tin foil ones) no basins to mix anything in. sorry for the grumbles but if you do not say it cannot be put right after the grumbles we enjoyed the annex

We found her very pleasant and informative. We felt at ease and comfortable. The area has a lot to offer from the moors to the towns in particular, York. We would recommend. Robert and Angela King

  • "We loved the Annexe."

Linda the owner met us and showed us around, she was very friendly. We were a bit disappointed with the mattress and bed. We are used to a memory foam mattress and found the one in the Annexe quite uncomfortable. But it did not spoil our holiday.

We also liked the convenience of the payment system - having the balance automatically being paid meant one less thing to remember.
