“Cherry chalet is situated in a secluded spot surrounded by trees.”

Outside of chalet needs lot of maintaining especially the raised veranda which is rotting away in parts. Entrance door lock constantly sticking which was annoying. Inside apart from high up cobwebs and ceiling strip lights full of dead flies and moths it was generally tidy, but did nave a bit of a damp musty smell. A lot of the contents looked to be donkeys years old including the bedding. Kitchen area was missing some basic essentials potato masher, whisk. Cheese greater, scissors, serving spoon, it was often cold in evening and morning due to only one tiny warm air blowing heater working, the other was broken. Owner did not make an appearance despite living on site, just leaves chalet keys in lock for arrivals. Please note people bringing dogs there is no direct walk from chalet as it's situated directly behind a main road, but there are many great walks short drives away. My previous holiday with a sykes cottage was fantastic. Unfortunately Cherry chalet needs a lot of work doing on it to bring it up to date.

The property

Cherry is a quaint wooden chalet set in a delightful and peaceful woodland setting on a small complex.

This is a real get away from it all destination yet the pretty village of Ampleforth is but a short walk away.

This compact chalet offers a romantic studio setting with open plan living and a separate shower room.

The decked verandah is just the ticket for rest and relaxation.

There is a great choice of things to do here, from walking and cycling, historic houses and picturesque market towns, abbeys and castles and all wrapped up in stunning scenery.

This is a great dark sky area as there is little light pollution and there are plenty of places where you can star gaze. Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain and offers tremenous views over the Vale of Mowbray and the Vale of York.

Visit the Centre and blow away the cobwebs with a walk or cycle ride.

This property can be booked together with Ref. 903685 and 903688 sleeping up to 6 guests.
