  • "This was our first visit to Whitby and Seaview Heights was the perfect place to stay."

A short walk into town, overlooking the sea, and with the most amazing views. The apartment is very cosy which we appreciated, as Storm Babet meant that we didn't venture out at all on our last day, but stayed warm and dry and enjoyed watching the waves! We had no problem parking; most of the time there was space in the car park, but otherwise there was plenty of room to park on Argyle Road outside using one of the permits provided. Seaview Heights is on the third floor, so great for the views, and the lift meant that there was no problem getting our things up and down on arrival and departure. We found the apartment very comfortable and well equipped, and would definitely use it again if we return to Whitby.

  • "The apartment has amazing views of the coast."

It is on the 3rd floor but is accessible by a lift. The bed in the main bed room was very uncomfortable; it felt like there was no mattress at all. It was not possible to have a shower at the same time as a bath was being run in the other bathroom due to very low water pressure. The apartment is only suitable for families and not two couples sharing. This is because the 2nd bedroom is very small and has no wardrobe. The furniture in the living room was laid out in a very strange way; we had to move one of the sofas so we could all sit together. Some of the equipment in the kitchen is quite tired and needs to be replaced. E.g. chipped crockery and handles coming off knives.

Another advantage was the parking which in whitby is great and i have no doubt we will be booking again.

  • "Sea view Heights is a beautiful place to stay."

The views from the apartment are amazing, you have a panoramic view over the sea from Sandsend to the pier and Abbey. The facilities are great, the lift is brilliant especially on arrival and departure, or for anyone with disabilities or problems climbing stairs. The apartment has everything you need in the kitchen. Parking was not an issue as there’s limited spaces in the carpark but scratch cards are available to use for on street parking if the car park is full. I can recommend staying at Seaviw Heights to anyone. We will hopefully be returning.

  • "Fantastic location with wonderful views of the sea."

Loads of extras provided including a bottle of wine on arrival. Had a problem with the boiler but this was sorted quickly. Only other problem is to watch for the parking prefect for the car park as although we had displayed the correct parking permit, twice a card was put on the back of the car telling us to display permit - think they need to go to Specsavers as it was clearly visible in the front of the car.

  • "The apartment has an amazing outlook."

I would say jaw dropping! 7 windows in the lounge with a sea view and a bedroom with a balcony also with amazing views, It was beautifully clean and well equipped. The apartment block was very quiet and parking easy. I stayed during Storm Arwen and , because of the aforementioned amazing position, the sound from the rain and the wind was ENORMOUS! Communication with the owner was good. I’ve had a great stay, but the challenge of the noise during the storm and the draughts due to the high wind was significant.

Claims I blocked her in and the door way which was not possible when I was parked up there was room for my parents to get out of my car and also a home delivery person to make his delivery. Did upset myself and parents along

The only slight niggle was no parking on site first day and no scratchcards for the street parking ,we contacted the owner and we were told that there should have been plenty as it happens , next morning we were able to park in allocated spot all was ok We noticed a draft coming through lounge window and the kitchen tap was dripping we informed the owner and she is going to see to this

The views are what make this apartment. They are spectacular with a panorama from the turret lounge from Sandsend to Whitby. We had mixed weather while there but the views changed from calm seas to a storm ridden coast line all viewed from both the lounge or bedroom with its French doors and balcony. The building was very secure and clean with a lift to each floor. There was parking on site although Linda provided parking scratch cards for roadside parking outside the building. The honesty box for the land line was a nice touch. Beautiful apartment thank you Linda for sharing it with us.o

  • "The apartment is located on the West Cliff area overlooking the the sea, the views from the "turret" shaped lounge are amazing and you will never tire of them."

The apartment was very well appointed with everything you will need to make your holiday complete, a larger fridge/freezer in the kitchen to keep all your drinks cool. The music system is a little on the ancient side, I haven't seen a cassette player in a hifi system for many years but it still works and is functional, it does play cds and there is a selection of music to choose from, my advice would be to bring your own. Although it is not listed the double bed in the main bedroom is actually a king size, worth noting as we look for that when booking. We had a slight issue with the non functioning lift but it didn't affect our enjoyment, we would have always walked up and down the stairs anyway, it was a penance for the Gin consumption. The lift was being repaired on the day we left so there should be no ongoing concerns. If we decide to go back to Whitby for another holiday we will be checking the availability of this apartment before we look at anywhere else. The owner of the apartment was very helpful and answered any queries immediately.
