  • "Rose Dean is a lovely comfortable place to stay."

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The welcome pack was great. The dogs were at home in the great garden - and the dog bed was fought over! The standard of appliances were excellent and the kitchen a delight to eat in. The bedrooms were very comfortable and bathroom very high standard. We had a really nice break and would return in future.

Hi Julie, thanks for taking the time to leave a lovely review, we look forward to seeing you again soon. Mike and Claire. Property Owner

  • "We had a brilliant stay at Rosedene."

The property is immaculately clean with high end fixtures and fittings. Tasteful decor with a light, airy feel and warm and cosy ambience. The property is well equipped with everything you will need. Plenty of room to park two cars on the driveway and a nice view overlooking open fields. The garden is a really good size and has a lovely patio area with plenty of space for our dog to play. It is the most safe and secure garden we have stayed at. Peace of mind to be able to let our dog outside without worrying is a top priority for us and Rosedene certainly gave us that. There's a great dog park just 1 mile away if owners want a few acres of personal space to exercise and have fun in. Lovely walks and villages to visit nearby. We did some of the Yorkshire Wolds Way and walked along the country lanes of the Trans Penine Trail which is right on the doorstep. Really happy to see the smart TV has Netflix for cosy nights in film watching. Friendly neighbours and helpful owners who are available if you should need them although we didn't, we had no problems whatsoever. We will certainly be staying again in the future.

  • "Our third time back at this beautiful Cottage, says how wonderful it is."

Mike and Claire are super hosts and around if anything needed. We went when it was very heavy frost and snow and they even checked to see if we were ok. Which was very much appreciated. This cottage is cosy, and homely. Very highly recommended. Amenities close by, beautiful walks, Lovely safe garden for our four legged friend. Spotlessly clean. This property is 10/10. We hope to return again in the New Year.

  • "We had such a fantastic stay at Rose Dene!"

We loved every minute of our stay from film evenings in, to walks with the dogs and a pints at the local pub. The garden is a great size and the dogs loved running around it. The welcome pack, along with the added extras was a lovely touch. Definitely a home away from home.

  • "We are return visitors to this beautiful well kept and maintained property."

Cleanliness of this property is outstanding, comfortable beds and a perfect home from home. Overlooking fields, and a perfect quiet location. Beautiful walks around the area and within easy reach of East Yorkshire towns, villages and coastal beaches, perfect for our little four legged companion. Cant recommend this beautiful house enough. With its long, long garden that is very secure for dogs to roam free and run around. Thank you to the owners (Mike and Claire) for their wonderful Welcome Pack and for providing a beautiful little 'Gem' to stay in. Absolutely perfection and a pure excellent holiday accommodation. We will be back again! Heather

We had very good communication with the owners .. who also left us an excellent welcome pack and provided everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. The large secure garden was enjoyed by both us and our dog. It was an ideal location for local walks, short drives to places of interest or beaches less than an hour away. Would definitely recommend Rose Dene and wouldn’t hesitate to return for any future stays in the area.

  • "Beautiful home."

Very clean and comfortable. Fixtures & fittings are of a high standard and the walk-in shower is superb. The back garden is very secure, no qualms leaving the patio doors open to allow four legged friends to come in and out as they please. The kitchen has all the mod cons you could need and a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glassware. We took washing and dishwasher tabs and some cleaning products but there is a plentiful supply already in the cupboards. Chocolates and toiletries left on the beds provide a lovely touch of luxury as did the welcome pack which included a great brand of popcorn which I'm now addicted to :) We had a fab break. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay, we'll be back. Cathy, Kevin & Tilly Sept 2023

The surrounding villages were lovely and everyone was so friendly. The coast is less than an hour away, with long sandy beeches. The hosts were on hand if we needed anything at all but we didn’t want for a thing. The house was spotless, modern and well presented. The cooking facilities were great, especially if you love cooking as much as we do. Lots of choice, if you want to eat out too and even a vineyard where you can sit and take in the views. The welcome pack was one of the best we have had! Thank you so much Mike and Claire, what a lovely touch. The garden was great for the dogs, very secure and the dogs settled quickly. Everyone loved the garden and enjoyed the games area. The Wi-Fi was excellent.

  • "Absolutely fantastic property."

Very clean and modern, a real home from home and very tastefully decorated. Huge kitchen with everything you needed to fully self cater, although most nights we ate out at the local pub, The fox and Coney. The welcome pack was a nice surprise, never seen one with so many contents. Living room was very cosy and comfortable. The highlight for us was the enormous garden which was secure for our dog. We were lucky with the weather and took advantage of the ample garden furniture to sit out and enjoy the sun. Lovely area with lots of dog walks and within walking distance of South Cave. Would definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon. Owners checked we were ok but then left us alone to enjoy our break, but said they were available should we have any problems.
