"Everything at Abbey Vista was beautiful."
Nicely decorated with all the home comforts you’d expect. The view of the Abbey was lovely to see whilst eating breakfast, from the bay window. Great central location to explore the wonders of Whitby. Milk, biscuits and red wine were thoughtfully left out for us by the owners. We shall definitely be returning! Thank you.

"A beautiful apartment in a really convenient location."
The apartment is spacious and tastefully decorated throughout with everything provided for a holiday stay. A welcome gift of wine and biscuits was left for us which was very thoughtful. And milk provided was great but after 5 hours of travelling a couple of tea bags would have been very much appreciated - neither of us drink coffee.
The furnishings in the house are beautiful and create a relaxing environment after a day of walking the bed and sofa are very comfortable. My only critique and it is small would be the shower as it’s near impossible to get a consistent temperature, two days were perfect but the others were either freezing cold or it would literally melt your skin and I set it the same each time. The shower unit dripped and also had a leak which sprayed out the bottom so I’m not sure if that caused the problem. I used the bath instead which is fine but I do prefer to shower due to having had spinal surgery.
Overall we had an amazing week and we would definitely book to stay here again.

Great location with beautiful views, few minutes walk into main streets. Apartment was clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. "A great location!"
All the facilities for morning paper, groceries and coffee shops and eating out, in easy walking distance.
I intended booking for the same week next year on my return home, but unfortunately someone had beat me to it.
The only improvement I could recommend is, it’s ready for a lick of paint here and there.

Place was spotlessly clean when we arrived, very welcoming bottle of wine and wife loved the shortcake complimentary biscuits.
Spacious and very comfortable, everything we needed, decor was excellent..plus for me was the parking permits which was a 3hr windows outside the property and also the long stay for the break

"The apartment was as described with a lovely view of the Abbey."
However, I disagree with several reviews where previous guests have described it as being fully equipped. For example, there was no rubber non slip bath mat provided for showering purposes. An item essential to prevent slipping. There were also no instructions on how to operate the heated towel rail in the bathroom.

The apartment is spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, a few minutes from the whalebone arch and Captain Cook monument. It was an ideal base to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and hope to return one day.

"The apartment was ideally situated in Whitby, with close access to both the town and the seafront."
It was spotlessly clean and with parking only 2 minutes walk away we were able to unload and load up again quite easily. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting a break in this part of the world.

Location facilities. We had an amazing stay. Short walk to everything we needed. Made a wonderful Xmas dinner for two. And had all the cooking equipment I needed. Daisy our new puppy loved her stay. Amazing walks. We wanted to stay longer but sadly there was no availability. We will 100% be back soon. Thankyou.

"The apartment was covered in dog hairs and dog smells."
Did not use the main oven as it was filthy. Bits of food under sofa cushions. Empty bottle found under the sofa. We spent one and a half hours cleaning the place, we did not call the caretaker as our standards are obviously higher than his.
We feel sorry for the owners of the property as the quality of furnishings and equipment in the flat are excellent.
We are very sorry about the issues you experienced. We have spoken to
the cleaning company about these and the owner of the company has taken
the feedback very seriously and stressed that if you had complained on
the day the cleaner would have returned to put everything right. Our
guests often comment about the excellent standard of cleaning so we are
sorry this was not the case for your stay. Thank you very much for your
kind comments about the excellent quality of furnishings and equipment
in the flat.

"The Landlord was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us."
He contacted me on the day of arrival to let us know the apartment was ready for us at 12 o’clock and not 4 o’clock. Ideal location, 5 minute walk to beach or the harbour/ town centre. Very comfy bed and nice lounge area with lovely views of the Abbey. Will definitely be using it again.

Car park is a stones throw away. You are short walk onto west cliffe and short walk into town. Very clean and tidy. A pint of milk along with tea etc on arrival was very welcome. Definitely recommend.

"Abbey Vista delivered above my expectations as the apartment was very well equipped and extremely clean and tidy."
The only downside was their was no where within the immediate facility to let the dogs do their business, you need to walk them to the seafront, which is a couple of mins walk. Not ideal at 3am. Other than this little annoying thing, we’re definitely be back.

"Communications regarding access were timely, which made access to the flat very easy."
There were a box of chocolates, a bottle of wine and a parking pass for us upon arrival. The flat is very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen is well equipped including a counter top dishwasher and washing machine.
The flat is well located, being close to the sea front and the town centre but also nice and quiet.
Overall, a good place to stay in Whitby.

"Similar to another recent guest at this property, we struggled to cope with the cooker/hob due to a lack of instructions on how to use it."
We did manage to work out how to get hot water, but again instruction would be ideal.
Apart from that, we found this apartment to be very comfortable, fitted carpets throughout, very spacious and relaxing lounge, fully equipped kitchen. The location to the town and sea front is superb, together with the car parking arrangements.
We would certainly consider staying here again, also recommend this property to friends.
