  • "This is among the best holiday accommodation we have ever had."

The apartment was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable. What took it to another level again was how helpful and kind the owners were. Ian and Carl helped with a couple of queries we had in such a gracious and lovely way. We would recommend Amber Rose 100% and happily stay there again if we come back to Whitby. Thanks to everyone who made this property such a delightful place to spend a week.

Excellent property lovely turned out, comfy, homely, 2nd time we’ve stayed, we will be back PS could do with some decent matching wine glasses

Thank you Steven so pleased you had such a good time that you plan to visit us again. It means we must be doing something right. We do really welcome and appreciate your feedback. We wonder though whether you have may have missed the small cabinet with sets of gin balloons, wine, shot, hi-ball and lo-ball glasses in. Glasses found in the kitchen units tend to have been acquired from local pubs by guests. Property Owner

  • "We were impressed how well the property was decorated and maintained with lots of small thoughtful things in place too."

Pillows would be our only comment, quite lumpy and would bring my own next time. It was good to be provided with a parking permit which allowed us to leave the car outside the apartment safely as we spent a lot of time walking. Kitchen well fitted out for cooking. Induction hob took a bit of time to get used to. Maybe mention it is an induction hob as people with pacemakers shouldn’t go near them and unfortunately I have one so my partner cooked. All in all enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you were impressed with the decoration and maintenance of the property, as well as the thoughtful touches that contributed to your overall experience. We appreciate your comment regarding the pillows were you not aware of the additional pillows left in the wardrobe? We do leave extras because pillows can be such a personal choice. Your feedback is valuable to us. Bringing your own pillows next time is a great suggestion, and we completely understand the importance of a good night's sleep during your travels. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and we're delighted that you enjoyed your time here. If there's anything else we can do to improve your experience or if you have any further feedback, please don't hesitate to let us know. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another enjoyable stay in the future! Property Owner

  • "The property was so clean on arrival."

We did find the step into the bathroom and kitchen a trip hazard at first till you get used to it. Yes it's taped with hazard tape. Hot water was not great and never got really hot. Noise from residents above from them getting in to going to bed. They must have a bath has water was running for a good 15 mins then took ages to empty. This was usually 11 pm to 11.45pm. 1st night 1.30am Finally we were not aware that scaffolding was up outside the bedroom windows. And from daybreak pigeons could be heard roosting under the boards. But overall this is a fantastic flat and we enjoyed our stay.

It is important to acknowledge that living in close quarters, such as an apartment building, can sometimes come with challenges regarding noise levels. While it's true that some degree of noise is to be expected in shared living spaces, it's also essential to respect everyone's right to a peaceful living environment. I am sorry to hear you felt the hot water took too long to come through when you used it. Having used the heating and hot water system during my stays at Amber Rose, it is common for the hot water to take a moment to get to temperature especially if the system hasn’t been used for a while, but once reached it is plentiful and HOT. This is because, I have done the responsible thing by having it set to Eco mode. Using a gas combi boiler in eco mode can provide a range of benefits, including energy savings, environmental sustainability, and improved comfort. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with another fantastic stay. If there's anything else we can assist you with in the meantime, please feel free to reach out. Thank you again for choosing Amber Rose for your holiday. Property Owner
