  • "A really beautiful little flat in a great location."

A small cozy space but has absolutely everything you need, already can't wait to visit again!

  • "Thank you, I had a fantastic weekend and was very happy staying at Bobby's."

I knew the location would be perfect but was pleased with the accommodation, it was all lovely and clean and had everything I needed. I was particularly impressed with the shower, even the sealant was spotless but on top of that, it was also hot and powerful. I also felt very safe due to the second (combination lock) door which enclosed all three "cottages", it was like our own gated community (although I never saw the others). If I were to mention very slight downsides, the sofa was a little too low for me and I was disappointed not to be able to watch live TV but neither of these were of great significance and had no impact much on my brilliant weekend. I will definitely come back to Bobby's next year.

  • "The cottage was small but really well designed all needs catered for great location ideal for whitby West cliff fresh and very clean."

But access is via gate which sticks and people slammed it closed. Worse the place outside bedroom window was a building site for the week relaying stone flooring. Loud drilling 6feet away from bed from 8 30 each morning

  • "Very nice clean cottage, small but was ideal for us, right in the centre of Whitby, 2 min walk from shops & harbour."

Great faciliies, only down side was the bed. Wife found it very uncomfortable sagged in the middle, strange bottom sheet, was a duvet with a upper duvet on top? Would defo stay again but only if the mattress is updated.

Thank you for your feedback Peter it is greatly appreciated. I can confirm that the mattress has now been replaced. Really pleased you had a nice stay. Property Owner

  • "The cottage had everything we needed."

The milk and biscuits were very welcome after a long journey. Great location in the centre of town. Our only issue was the mattress which sagged in the middle and was very difficult to sleep on.

  • "The accommodation was excellent in most aspects, but unfortunately there were 2 significant issues that heavily impact the rating above : 1) the mattress in the bedroom was extremely uncomfortable."

It was like trying to sleep on giant marshmallow that caved in the middle. It may be a coincidence but after 2 nights sleeping on it, my wife has had a sore neck since. The mattress has been mentioned in a previous review so it's not just impacted us. This could easily be fixed with a more appropriate/firmer mattress. 2) the entrance yard had multiple waste bins directly outside. During our stay some of these bins were over full and the stench of dog muck was profound. It wasn't even particularly warm weather, so I can't imagine what this would be like on days when it is. Not sure how easy that is to fix but some sort of bin shed would probably be slightly better.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in Whitby at Bobby's."

It's a great location in town, a short stroll to the centre. Really appreciated being given a short term parking permit for the duration of our booking. We would stay at Bobby's again when we next decide to visit.

  • "The property was exactly as described."

It was small but was well laid out and had everything we needed, including a hairdryer and an iron. We were left fresh milk and biscuits. It is in an excellent location; just a few minutes walk to the harbour. There is shared outside seating in the small courtyard. The tv is not connected to an aerial, so you can only watch on apps but that’s not what we go on holiday for and it was enough for us to catch the morning news. We paid for parking in Silver Street to unload and get our bearings. The directions given to the property were spot on and we found it easily, right opposite the car park. A parking permit was provided and a map of streets with parking zones, so we were able to move the car to a permit bay.

It was a little difficult to find the apartment from the directions provided but apart from that we would have no hesitation in recommending!
