"The apartment overall is lovely and in a great location however there are a few minor maintenance niggles that prevented this from being a full 5 star feedback."
1) The window in the rear bedroom needs fixing to address the seal around the opener. It was whistling loudly from the wind when we arrived. £5 worth of blutack to seal the window fixed it for our stay.
2) The shower head in the shower room is in desperate need of cleaning / replacing.
3) There is a very small leak in the toilet in the shower room. Either at the bas of the bowl or the waste pipe joint at the rear.
4) There is very limited space for clothes storage in the second bedroom. We had to store almost everything in the main bedrooms wardrobe.
5) A proper pair of oven gloves wouldn't go amiss rather than the heatproof pads provided.
In summary, if the above were addressed then we would stay again. The second bedroom let's the property down a little

Lovely apartment, well equipped and very comfortable. Excellent location, virtually on seafront, loved view every morning. Added bonus of parking permit and lift up to apartment if needed to use.
Would definately reccommend and visit again in future.

Again it was perfect. Clean, 2 bathrooms, care for details, comfortable, very pretty views, very pretty interior, perfect location. Everything was taken care of. Free parking when using the parking permit. A good location for exploring the Yorkshire Coast, Yorkshire Dales, York etc... We do recomment this holiday property.

The lift was an added bonus.
The only negative was the water pressure on the shower, but that said I would still recommend the property.

"This is a very pleasant flat, situated near the sea, which can be seen from the side windows."
It was clean and comfortable and well equipped, and the open plan area is quite spacious, which is not always the case. There is a lift up to the flat from within the building but there are steps up to the front door, so access would be difficult for people with mobility issues. I would have liked more information for arrival: the key safe was not obvious and it took us a bit of puzzling to work out how to use the lift key. Once in, though, we had a lovely holiday. Would recommend.

"Flat 4 is an extremely clean, warm and very well equipped apartment."
Its location is good and has good views. It has everything you should need including a great selection of books, DVD's and games. There is even a torch and hot water bottle should you need them as well as complimentary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on our arrival. The host was friendly and helpful on the phone.

"We had a very pleasant stay."
The Victorian flat was perfect with a very good view over the sea at the side. Eating your breakfast with a wonderful view what more do you need! It is perfect located and the parking permit does the trick. Everything is taken care off. We do recommend this flat to all. Enough to see and to do in the area We did a lot of fossil hunting. A daytrip to York is also recommended. We wish the owner good luck and a happy life!!

Very well presented with good facilities ideal for a family of four. The lift was a great bonus once we had worked out how to operate it. Better instructions for the lift and car parking would be of great help. The car parking was very easy and the lift easy to use after a phone call to owner who was very helpful. We would only book this flat when we return to Whitby any other would only be second best.

The car park can get full so may need to park elsewhere but always seemed to be a place close by so not a problem as laso can use disc parking. When going to Whitby again we would book this apartment.

Flat is described as having a sea view but this is only from looking sideways through a bay window. The flat faces other flats across a view and is not facing the sea.

"We were disappointed with the safety and security at the rear of the property."
The back bedroom window would not close as the handle was broken. On top of that the window opened fully and had no safety device to prevent anyone (especially children) falling out. We text the owner upon arrival and expressed our concerns, initially we were ignored and the 2nd text she responded saying it would not be repaired for 3 weeks. We have two young children that were sleeping in that room and we had to make a temporary fix in an attempt to prevent any accidents or break ins. As a Mother concerned with the safety of our children I did not sleep well whilst there so therefore did not fully enjoy my stay at Whitby due to tiredness and anxiety. I feel owners need to respond to their guests promptly and carry out repair work swiftly especially when it comes to safety of their guests and their property. We certainly have, due to Covid paid well over the odds for a holiday this year which as I stated earlier I could not enjoy fully due to the owner failing to maintain their property.

"I would recommend Flat 4 highly for anybody."
The communication from the outset from the owner and facilities provided were excellent.
The flat itself is up to date and with a washing/drying machine, dishwasher and other bits make it easy to keep on top and spend time exploring the area.
We have stayed at a number of different properties in Whitby and this is by far the best.

"A really lovely apartment in a great location on West Cliff."
Around a 10 minute walk into town, it’s handy for shops, pubs and restaurants. Also only about 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach. The apartment has everything you’d need for 4 people. We absolutely loved everything, it was so peaceful. The owner was very quick to answer questions and was lovely to deal with. I’m sure we’ll be back!

The owner left us some bread, milk and biscuits which was a nice touch. We had a problem with the bed while we were there and she rectified the problem immediately. It is a home from home and everything you could possibly need whilst away is in this flat. Parking was no problem. The owner left us a parking pass and there was a car park at the rear of the property. Would recommend.

"Our short break at this property started poorly (the key safe would not open) the owners arranged for a spare set of keys in a timely manner."
When we gained entry to the property we where pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and well presented property with complimentary milk, bread & biscuits. We only had a few very minor issues which I have past on to the owner. The location of the key safe is not obvious so a little bit more information on key safe location would be good. The location is close to the centre and we had a good time walking around all the old narrow street. Car parking can be difficult in Whitby but the close proximity of the car park and free parking permit is a big plus. I would defiantly recommend this property.
