  • "Lovely cottage in a great location near shops and pubs, nicely decorated, with every facility you can think off."

The welcome hamper, milk in the fridge and flowers in vase gave us a welcome feeling on arrival, the only downside was the 2 seater sofa,a 3 seater sofa would have been more beneficial.

  • "A super cottage, perfect for two."

Everything was of good quality and we would consider returning in the future. The situation of the cottage is very handy for accessing everything in the town.

  • "Very disappointing stay at Little Gem."

Good location (albeit the parking is difficult we didn’t get within a 15 min on any occasion during our stay) and level of cleanliness but the cottage is extremely small even for only 2 adults with the living space only equivalent to an average size caravan. Handle on fridge came off the first time we opened it and the welcome hamper of Yorkshire goodies turned out to be a packet of biscuits and a pint of milk. We paid over £135 per person per night and the experience we received was not at the level we would expect for that cost.

Set in a quite courtyard just a 2min walk from the harbour fantastic holiday thank you

  • "Lovely accommodation and excellent location, however the living space was far too small to relax after a full days walking."

It is dog friendly but the downstairs space isn’t enough for a medium sized dog giving the fact that no dogs are allowed upstairs.

The only downside was finding a parking space. Once we had we didn’t dare move again for fear of not finding another but public transport was very good.

  • "Good location, small however, a very well refurbished and perfect accommodation."

Parking awkward and can be a distance from the accommodation if you're don't know where the particular W zone is. Apart from that I don't have any issues with recommending the Little Gem.

  • "The location of the cottage was just off Flower Street in a little courtyard."

The shared courtyard wasn't brilliant but once you were inside the cottage, the outside didn't matter. The cottage was very tastefully decorated, set over 3 floors. The kitchen on the ground floor had everything we needed down to cling film, tin foil, bin liners, cleaning items not to mention cooking impliments. The bathroom was on the second floor along with little reading, chill out room and the bedroom was on the third floor. We were very comfortable living in the cottage for 5 days and would definitely return. Whitby is a lovely quaint and interesting town with lots of history, we loved it. Thank you for a lovely relaxed stay, we will definitely return
