  • "We had a comfortable stay."

Our first morning we had no hot water , which after a couple of phone calls was sorted immediately and mended. I read the reviews on the apartment , and it mentioned one of the sofas was in bad condition, so l took a cover and it worked. I would not have sat on it without , as the bits of leather were very flakey. The double duvet in the room on it's own is very lumpy and very thin in places. Very well arranged, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Apartment in a very good location.

  • "Just a couple of negative points: The dark sofa is in a horrible condition, either cover it or replace it, it's very uncomfortable with the leather peeling."

If you put a dishwasher in the kitchen you need to supply tablets for it. Lovely big shower, however it means the toilet space is very tight making it awkward. A few old cobwebs high up on walls & ceilings, it's a details thing!! All in all a fairly nice apartment.

  • "Negatives? ."

. shame about the scaffolding but we do understand there is nothing the owners could do about this, we left windows open due to the heat and on returning found quite a mess on the window boards! Positives? .. Lots? The Getaway had everything we needed, clean, nice decor etc. great shower, wonderful location, our Labrador (Holly) loved the West Cliffs and walks from the door, and a nice short walk to the dog friendly pub (The White House) .... Thanks, Eric & Joan.

Thanks you so much for the positive feedback and your understanding about the works. We can’t wait for the roof to be completed! Really glad you enjoyed the flat. Thanks again. Property Owner

  • "* Dishwasher was left full of dirty dishes * There was only 3 sheets of toilet roll left on the roll."

No additional roles were left. * There was no view as scaffolding covered all windows - this was mentioned in the information, but said it would be gone by June 2023. * The beds were comfortable * The kitchen and bathroom were well maintained. * A fire alarm went off during our stay early morning. The building was evacuated, but we were told the alarm did not connect to the Fire Brigade. One of the guests had to ring then there was about a 15 minute wait for the Fire Brigade to turn up. There had been an issue in the cellar.

Thank you for your feedback, and apologies that the dishwasher was full and there was no loo roll. I will look into this with the cleaning team. I will also update the website about the scaffolding as unfortunately the works have taken longer than expected. Once again thank you for taking the time to review. Property Owner

The apartment stunk of cannabis was worse in the bathroom it was coming from another apartment somewhere we didn’t get any sleep due to someone playing really loud music and this went on for 2 days from 10pm until 530am we was speaking to one of the builders who was repairing the roof and he said that a DJ lived in one of the ground floor apartments and this is where the music was coming from we would never ever stay here again
