    The place is immaculate and in such a convenient place in the centre of Whitby. Very quiet and secluded even though it’s in the centre. We loved it so much we have booked a week for August!!

  • "We had such a great time, thank you."

    Only one concern and that was the step on the courtyard upto the property to the door, my husband almost fell a couple of times forgetting the step was there as the step stone blends in with the patio. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and hopefully we will return very soon.

The Old Jet Workshop is a romantic single-storey cottage in the heart of Whitby, North Yorkshire.

This appealing base is suited for a couple boasting an open-plan layout, an enclosed courtyard and is a short stroll to amenities including a beach.

Open the gate and make your way to the entrance, from the outside you will notice the charm of the building; a fully refurbished jet workshop dating back to the 1800s, open the glass doors to this single-storey abode, then enter.

Upon entering, you will be met with a stylish, bright and harmoniously designed open-plan living space.

Head to the kitchen with soothing green and sleek black tones, whip up a romantic feast with a dishwasher available to clean up any mess left behind.

Dine at the breakfast bar area, as you delve into your delicious meal, admire the stylish and contemporary furnishings around this space.

Once dinner is demolished, head to the sitting area, flick on the TV and unwind, the skylights flood the space with natural light, which is also ideal once the sun sets for admiring the sky on starry nights.

Once your eyes get weary, head to the stylish en-suite shower room with sleek black fixtures, a skylight, spacious rainfall shower, and a double basin, to freshen up in a plush setting.

Then dive into the double bed and admire more of the elegant furnishing before drifting off.

In the morning, start the day off right in the suntrap courtyard and enjoy a brew and a book.

Being located in the heart of Whitby means there is plenty in the surrounding area.

Take a stroll to Whitby Beach, take a romantic walk along the beach, and indulge in some fish and chips as you dip your toes in the water.

Climb up the 199 Steps, providing panoramic views of the harbour and town, conveniently, this point of interest heads towards Whitby Abbey, a gothic ruin perched on the clifftop with links to Henry VII.
