The property was not the easiest to find or the cleanest We were a trio of friends in Whitby for the goth weekend We all complained about the mattresses on the beds not being comfy and having back ache every morning One of us dropped some money and it went down the sofa, mice would have had a party with all the stuff that was down there The same could be said for the mat under the table and chairs, we peeled that back, it was also bad Nowt down for winning FOUR IN A BED anytime soon The upside, it was nice and warm

  • "The location of this house was perfect and the size was also good for our small family of 3."

The house wasn’t very clean though and could do with a deep clean and possibly an update, plus the bed had a stain on the sheets. Overall this property has everything you need for a great holiday in Whitby. I would’ve liked a better description of how to find the place as I followed a reviews descriptions rather than the details given by skyes/owner. The alley way next to the save the children shop on the right of flowergate is where you need to go to find the house. Access is tricky but once you’ve sorted parking with the helpful parking permits, you’re fine.

  • "Nice cosy cottage with enough room for 4 adults."

It had a well equipped kitchen with everything you need for a short break. A good location for all amenities that Whitby has to offer tucked away down a side street which was very quiet. Would definitely use again when returning here.

  • "The directions were incorrect, the property had industrial bins in front of it & was surrounded by building site mess."

The parking permit was useless as there were no spaces in the Zone it was for. Very over priced for what we received. I will use your site again but will not be staying at that property again

  • "We had great difficulty finding this property at the beginning of the holiday."

The directions were very misleading. We were told to turn left into Silver Street and that our destination would be on the right. We therefore presumed that Waterloo Place would be off Silver Street. We ended up driving round and round Whitby asking for directions, discovering that even locals did not know where it was. You should have explained that Waterloo Place was a pedestrian alley off Flowergate. in addition, while the property itself was clean and comfortable, it was next door to a very shabby abandoned house. Your photograph does not reflect the reality of the surroundings.I think you should also have pointed out that parking was at quite a distance from the property. My husband is terminally ill and unable to walk very far and, if we had been aware of this problem, we would not have chosen this cottage.
