The sofa is terribly uncomfortable when using for a whole evening…… lots of cushion plumping and the addition of pillows was needed. As I also cook a lot and the equipment in the kitchen could be looked at - the addition of a very large saucepan would have been great. That said I improvised, and it didn’t spoil our stay so thank you Melissa.

The outside seating faced South West so was sunny after early morning. In fact it would have been perfect except for 1 thing. The fabric conditioner used on the bedding was not an aroma to my liking, so I stripped off the pillow slips and used a towel of my own instead to solve the problem. Otherwise it was brilliant and I would heartily recommend a stay here.

The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Handily it's also only a 5 min drive to the local Designer Outlet where there is a park & ride into York which we used on a couple of occasions. Observations only...the bed is lovely ..just really soft, but maybe that's just relative to what we're used to! Also...they are bath towels not bath sheets, so smaller than we are used to...but maybe that's just that we are a bit fatter than most lol!! Honestly a really lovely, uninterrupted stay & have already commended it to my parents!!
