The good things was its a beautiful holiday home, the welcome pack was very thoughtful. And if I come back to whitby I would stay there again

  • "House not cleaned when we went in ,it was rectified but we then got an email saying we had verbally abused the female cleaner this was a very upsetting email to read ."

It did give us food for thought because the cleaner was male and my sister and I even offered to stay and help him clean .

  • "The house was a good size and in a great location."

There were issues with broken fittings such as top floor bedroom door handle, bathroom plugs, wardrobe door, downstairs toilet seat and upstairs toilet roll holder. A chair in kitchen had a loose leg and we could have done with instructions to use Playstations/DVD player as these did not seem to be working/connected.

Many thanks for your feedback. If I had known about any issues at the time of your stay I would of course have helped immediately as Sykes did have a dedicated help line during your stay but we are not aware of any contact from you at the time. The Playstation and Dvd have been checked and are working and have been relocated back to the correct position. The chair has been repaired straightaway after I was made aware and I will now be providing a full new replacement set. The toilet seat was quite new but has been replaced anyway and all other maintenance issues have been addressed where relevant Property Owner

We realise that the problems we had were not the owners fault.

  • "The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived."

The house is spacious, well furnished and modern with all that’s needed to be ‘home from home’. 3 George St is well situated so a car isn’t needed to go explore the town and complete beautiful walks. I would most certainly recommend this property.
