  • "The owner of the property went above and beyond our expectations."

Everything was provided and we needn’t have taken our toiletries, kitchen essentials or cleaning products. It was like a home from home. We were generously left cake and biscuits as well as basics such as eggs, milk and butter etc. There was also a parking permit provided. The home itself was fresh, spotlessly clean, comfortable and more than adequate for 5 adults.. it’s situated ideally within the town, easily accessible to all the attractions that Whitby has to offer. There are some steep steps that lead up to the property but there is a hand rail and we managed them quite easily. We would definitely stay in this property again, it’s quaint and the decor reflects this. It’s not modern by todays standards but I wouldn’t want it to be. This property is cared for and a lot of thought has been given to make sure it’s occupiers will have a great stay.

  • "The little extras made this cottage a great stay."

We took our 3 grandchildren aged 4, 7 and 8. The location is excellent and the steps up to the property were steep but you have appropriate hand rails and even for me at 66 this was not a problem. Mrs Williamson makes you feel very welcome though we did not meet, it was the milk bread etc already in place so you can have a cuppa soon as you arrive. We all enjoyed our stay so much that the 4 year old did not want to come home. Thank you.

  • "Cute little cottage in the heart of Whitby town centre."

We arrived early evening after a long journey with 2 small children, what a delight to arrive to a plate of sandwiches and Yorkshire brack waiting for us! And cosy hot water bottles for us on our beds! Made us feel so welcome. Fridge stocked with essentials, tea, coffee, biscuits, bread, very thoughtful. Lots of toys and games for the children to play with. Perfect base to explore Whitby, everything on your doorstep.

  • "Great location, notice about the steep steps was appreciated."

Plenty of household products, toiletries were supplied. I slept in the top bedroom at the front and despite the heating being on it was a very cold room. The blankets and hot water bottles were very appreciated.

  • "We were impressed with the hospitality as we were concerned about finding a shop open for essentials on arrival after a long journey from Scotland but plates of sandwiches and cake were waiting for us and there were basics in the fridge and cupboard (such as milk, bread, condiments etc), this was wonderful and greater than any other holiday home/apartment that I have stayed at previously."

Also the house was full of toys/games and there were slippers and dressing gowns in the rooms, it was like walking into a lived in home rather than a sterile blank place to stay. The location was great and a parking solution provided. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

Plenty of stores in cupboards and toiletries so did not have to stock up. The flat clean and homely as usual, home from home.

  • "This is a lovely place to have a holiday There were sandwhiches and cakes left for us and a kitchen full of every day fresh items needed this was a lovely welcoming gesture The rooms were big and comfortable."

The apartment is in an ideal area for the centre of Whitby only a 5 minute walk but be prepared to climb up a hill and then 13 steep steps but easily manageable. Only downside is parking. Even though the owner leaves parking permits for the side streets there was no where to park near the house. Other car oarks for kongvstays are availabke rhough. Overall 10/10 We will be back

  • "Wow.. where do I start,Location is perfect for everything ,you have only minutes to walk to the shops and cafes"

.Parking was no problem with the permit supplied by the owneŕs and again minutes away in the adjacent street. We were able to park outside the shop to unload. Once inside you are met with the most charming and comfortable cottage .So many extras too many to mention, but the welcome of sausage rolls ,cakes, tea, coffee, milk, bread, ham and eggs were very much appreciated. The cottage was spotless throughout, comfy beds ,warm and cosy. Not to mention the thoughtful gift of a card, wine and chocolates for my daughters birthday. Thank you Judith for a fantastic stay we have no hesitation in recommending your lovely cottage to family and friends, and would not want to stay anywhere else when visiting Whiby in the future.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Whitby."

The cottage is spotlessly clean and freshly decorated in a traditional style rather than modern contemporary but this only added to the character. It was so well stocked with everything you could ever need and the butter, milk and bread that was left for us was a nice touch too. We managed to get parked using the permit provided which was an added bonus. We'll definatley return.

  • "Very nice homely cottage with all facilities for a family holiday, plates of cake and tea bags, coffee etc."

were all available during our stay and the premises was very clean. Only downside was the shortage of a wifi connection, quite a few people do take their ipads or laptops to keep in touch and this is difficult without a connection. Other than this a great place to stay and will probably book this cottage again.

Right in the middle of Whitby and with a nice back yard to sit and relax in. Very helpful owner and comfortable and we'll equipped rooms. I'm sure we'll book to stay here again. Steps up to cottage are steep and would be a problem to those less mobile and nearby parking not easy but that's Whitby for you.

It is in an excellent location for stepping out and discovering the town on foot. It is clean, comfortable, full of character and has everything one could need for a self catering holiday. But it is all the thoughtful, homely extras that make this property so special and that's because the lady who owns the property is such a genuine, caring, lovely lady. And for anyone, like me, who is into sewing and crafting, the shop downstairs is just the glorious icing on the cake.
