  • "Great little cottage in a great location, ideal for couples but I think families would struggle Will definitely return"

  • "Lovely cottage just a short walk into the centre."

Absolute bonus of the parking space. Spotlessly clean and the nice added touches of the cookies and the products in the bathroom. Only slight negative for us was the mattress in the master room, it is super soft and felt it had collapsed on the sides, made you feel like you were falling out of bed. That being said the 5 of us had a lovely time and would definitely consider booking again. Thank you

  • "Property - The master bed has changed from the listing, I specifically booked this property as it didn't have a footboard and I have a tall husband."

You can imagine our surprise when we arrived to find a huge iron bedframe with a footboard. Not what we booked really, but we made do. Housekeeping - There were "50th Birthday" balloons left behind the TV, the door stopper had been chewed by a previous dog, the baby gate doesn't shut properly and the flooring under the dining table is all loose and lifts up (needs gluing or refitting) Apart from that the cottage was lovely! Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We sincerely apologise that the photograph of the master bedroom does not show the current bed and that this impacted your stay. This is purely an oversight on our part and we will arrange more photos as soon as possible. We have raised the issue of the balloons with our cleaning team and can only apologise as these should not have been missed. We are currently in the process of arranging new flooring for the entire downstairs which we hope to have completed in the next few months. Property Owner

  • "The parking area had 6 dustbins in it which are clearly there on a regular basis."

They had been removed when taking the photograph which appears in the listing. There is room for a car as well but manoeuvring into the space is not easy as there are many other parked vehicles around that area and they are not always parked with care. The bath is not fully sealed and there has been water ingress causing staining on the kitchen ceiling when the over bath shower has been used previously. This is a small job which could be easily remedied , surely the housekeeping team should report this so that the problem does not get worse. Overall the house was clean except for the seal on the bottom of the shower screen which was dirty and mouldy. It is a simple job to clean, we have one just like it. The electric fire doesn’t work at all. Fortunately we didn’t need it. The freezer is in need of defrosting, it is full of ice and rather off putting. None of these things spoiled our stay and they are not complaints, just observations. The owners will surely want to remedy these problems. Kittiwake is a delightful and cosy cottage but I feel that some visitors may not be so understanding of these small problems. It is well placed for walking into town and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to bring these issues to our attention which we will address. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience during your stay. We can confirm that a new electric fire was installed on 22nd October and I will speak with our cleaning team to remedy the shower seal. We are in the final stages of negotiation with our neighbours and the owners of the new development to address the issue of parking and alternative storage of the wheelie bins. We hope this will be resolved very soon. Property Owner

  • "The were a few maintenance issues that were overdue: lights not working, bathroom door sticking, front door lock quite stiff to unlock, kick board in the kitchen wasn't fixed."

Parking was tight and on several of occasions other cars/vans were parked across the entrance.

We are sorry to hear that you have experienced some maintenance issues with our cottage, we will of course address these. We are currently working with our neighbours to improve the parking situation. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage ,great location."

Would definitely use again. Only down side is the new properties built at the back can cause a bit of congestion with cars coming in and out. Bit of a tight squeeze with the parking allocation for the amount of people staying in that area.
