The property is also on a fairly steep hill going downhill to reach town centre.Going or returning is difficult for those with mobility problems as is the case with my wife and I.To be candid that fact alone would have caused us to choose another property. With regard to the accommodation, the wrae a number of issues

The property

Set in the heart of the seaside town of Whitby, this charming ground floor apartment provides a wonderful bolthole for couples or small families wanting to explore this popular historic port, with easy access to the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park.

An annexe to a larger Victorian property, entry to the apartment is via a private rear courtyard, through French doors straight into the open plan living area.

This bright and cheerful space has been creatively designed, with a modern kitchen, comfortable sofa bed for two extra people and one step up to the bistro-style dining table set in an alcove.

The Jack-and-Jill bathroom boasts a shower and a roll-top, freestanding bath, perfect for a lovely deep soak after a busy day on the beach!

Tastefully styled, the pretty double bedroom has a quality mattress and bedding to ensure a good night’s sleep in this cosy and convenient property.

Outside is an enclosed rear courtyard, a sheltered spot next to your very own beach hut and BBQ area to sit and relax with a glass of wine in the evening.

The apartment is ideally placed; a two-minute walk brings you into the hustle and bustle of this delightful coastal town, with its cobbled market square and labyrinth of quaint narrow streets and alleyways, and five minutes' away is the beach.

Enjoy the many restaurants, pubs and trendy cocktail bars overlooking the harbour, or sample the traditional tea rooms.

Climb the 199 steps up to famous Whitby Abbey, perched on the high cliffs, or take an exhilarating clifftop walk along the Cleveland Way.

With its long sandy beaches, museums and gardens, there is something for all interests.

A well-located apartment for a wonderful romantic retreat, all year round.

Note: This property adjoins Ref. 920458, together they sleep 19.
