  • "It was not made clear that there were steep stairs down to the main apartment only that there were stairs to bedroom two."

Your cleaner needs specs when it came to the bathroom as the shower area was dusty. The bottom sheet did not fit (double size not king) and the duvet cover was starting to go threadbare and had small holes appearing. The apartment otherwise lovely and great for buses.

  • "Good location for walking into Whitby takes around 10 minutes but is a bit of a climb back."

Flat is very spacious but suffers from mould/damp due to a lack of ventilation especially the bathroom. Occasionally there's a sewage smell from the drains/toilet. There are 15 steps in total down to the main part of the flat which isn't mentioned in the listing. Car parking space is narrow. WiFi is good. Kitchen is well equipped

  • "Only issue we had was the showeroom the extractor fan wasn’t very good and the steam was causing a lot of damp also the toilet was a bit smelly."

Everything else was brilliant , it was clean and comfortable and the beds were amazingly comfortable. We all loved it and would consider staying again

  • "Nothing wrong with the flatvery clean and tidyand very handy for the harbour."

There m was just that problem with the car park which Max at Syke's Cottage's sorted out with the Landlord. What I would like to know is who's car was parked in our space, and who was the Gentleman who asked us to leave because we were parked in another couple's space, because as I said this other car was parked in our space [wish I had got the number] and why didn't the Gentleman who asked us to move, why didn't he point out the space that this car was taking up was our's,instead of telling us to go to the Community Centre.Want's looking into.Otherwise spot on.Didn't spoil our holiday really, but we could have done without that.

  • "Very comfortable accommodation we have used 3 holiday apartments in Whitby this one suited us the best."

Large rooms - comfortable beds and Parking are the main reason for this feedback. Although further from town centre the walk down is fine but we did get the bus if carrying shopping.

  • "Fantastic, exceeded expectations, what a hidden gem!"

A quick pre-Christmas getaway to the fabulous, ancient seaport of Whitby; the beautiful, picturesque natural coastal town. Full of character and charm with its quaint shops, cobbled streets, working harbour and Marina, historical monuments the Abbey and St Mary's church. At night a vast choice of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Mouette is in a fantastic location, less than ten minutes walk from the centre. The accomodation provided the perfect base for our stay. Very clean, comfortable, large and stylishly decorated; every need is catered for. We particularly enjoyed all the homey and seasonal touches..the fairy lights and the Christmas tree... Christmas biscuits and treats for our Golden retriever. The place is a haven of calm and relaxation after a full day out in Whitby. A small courtyard is located at the back of the apartment, with chairs and a table for milder weather. We absolutely loved Mouette, it is a credit to its owners and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Whitby. Superb!

  • "A little disappointed with the cleanliness - a black bin bag was left on the patio by the cleaners, the bathroom taps had grime at the bottom and although there was bleach next to the loo, the bottle was empty!"

I wanted to vacuum round before we left (we have a very hairy dog) but the vacuum cleaner was completely clogged up and smelt awful

  • "Absolutely beautiful place."

Large bedroom and bed. As mentioned in the Guest Book, this is perfect for dog holidays, but you would never think that a dog had ever been in there. It is spotlessly clean! A lovely place to stay. Thank you!
