    Marvellous location for all amenities and so clean and homely in the duplex, with everything you could possibly require. We will definitely return, bet it's super cosy at Christmas too!! Absolutely loved the place and would thoroughly recommend it as a homely holiday habitat for family and friends visiting wonderful Whitby!!

The property

This duplex apartment is in an attractive converted Victorian property in the centre of Whitby.

With splendid views overlooking Pannett Park, this lovely, comfortable apartment is ideally placed for exploring this popular historic seaside town, with all amenities at your fingertips.

Set over the second and third floors, there is a communal entrance with stairs leading up to the apartment.

There is an entrance hall with hanging for coats with the rooms leading off.

To the rear is a small, well-equipped kitchen and the spacious sitting room and dining area, with high ceilings and large windows, is at the front of the property with beautiful views over Pannett Park.

There is a comfortable corner sofa and cosy electric fire for cooler evenings, where guests can relax and unwind, after a busy day enjoying the delights of Whitby.

This room also has a large dining table and six chairs where guests can dine in comfort and enjoy the views.

There are two bedrooms on the third floor, one with a low-level king-size double bed and the other with twin beds.

A couple of minutes’ walk brings you into the hub of this wonderful atmospheric port, with a labyrinth of quaint and narrow streets and alleyways.

Stroll along to the cobbled market square, climb up the 199 ancient steps to the famous abbey, or sit and enjoy a cocktail by the harbour.

There are good restaurants, quirky tea rooms and beautiful fish and chips to savour - the choice is endless!

The long sandy beaches are a children's dream, with donkey rides, ice-creams and deck chair hire for the grown-ups!

Why not take a boat ride out to sea, or for the brave at heart, an evening ghost walk around the town?

If you can tear yourself away from this charming seaside resort, the surrounding countryside is well worth exploring, with the stunning scenery of the North York Moors and the dramatic heritage coastline.
