  • "4th visit to Quayside lovely place"

  • "A lovely quayside apartment, just a short walk from all Whitby has to offer."

The private parking for one vehicle beneath the apartment block, means you can safely leave the car and enjoy Whitby on foot. The property was clean, well maintained and equipped for our short break. Whitby has plenty of lovely restaurants, cafés and pubs to suit all tastes. Its history and beautiful scenery will satisfy sightseers, as well as those looking for lovely walks right from the doorstep. We would certainly recommend Quayside Haven.

It was clean, cosy and very comfortable. The bed was amazing. The secure parking was an added bonus. Would recommend.

  • "The location was perfect and home from home."

A short walk into town to all the shops and pubs. The only criticism we have is the bath/shower needs updating. We are in our mid sixties and very able bodied but struggled getting in and out of the bath to shower. It is typical bath height but either a safety handle to hold onto to get in/out would be a huge help, or remove the bath for a walk in shower. Apart from this the location was amazing.

  • "Just returned from a very enjoyable week at Quayside Haven."

Quayside is very well situated with great walks on the doorstep - close enough to walk in to Whitby and far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed.and all was clean and comfortable, The only negative would be the parking. The space allocated is incredibly awkward to get in and out of - even with a small car. A larger vehicle would be a challenge in deed to park and exit the space. There are visitor spaces, but often occupied in high season. Despite this we had a great stay!

  • "Lovely and comfortable, the apartment was fantastic."

Just as described with amenities and in a great spot for access to Whitby. It is great to have a parking space too. The beds were very comfy. The view across the Esk is amazing too. The perfect place to stay. The bedding, towels, bathroom suite were very clean. I understand the cleaning team will be very busy but could have just done with a little more attention to detail, the corners of the bathroom floor could have done with being cleaned properly and things on the kitchen work surface moved as there were crumbs under the microwave and on the table. But only a minor point. Altogether a superb place and we would definitely stay there again.

Private off road parking was a real bonus. Lots of crockery and very well equiped. One heater in the rear bedroom seen a bit intermittent and could not switch for very long on ,might have been a faulty thermostat as it clicked on and did not heat up for very long. The reading light had the top lamp not working but everything else was great. Woth. The money for the location alone.

The location is perfect, just a few mins walk into the centre of the town. A dishwasher is provided although we didn't make use of it, maybe a washing machine might be more useful? Also I would suggest adding a reminder for people to sign out of their streaming services on the smart TV before ending their stay. All in all a very pleasant place to stay in a great location and we look forward to staying again.

Good location Nice big comfy bed in one room (zip beds put together} Not so comfy double bed in second room Good shower but needed to use the boost for extra water after only one shower. Need a clock in the main room We enjoyed staying here overall

Thank you for your feedback , In three years this is the only adverse comment about hot water . We believe the customer inadvertantly switched off the main off peak immersion heater. The switch for this heater is next to the boiler room light switch . We have installed a red warning label above this switch warning customers not to turn it off. Property Owner

  • "We booked this as a quick getaway so expected a compact flat but actually all the rooms are a good size except the kitchen area!"

There needs to be more info put in prior to booking about how awkward the access to the allocated parking is. We were lucky and the space next to it was empty this week but we would have struggled to get into the space if it was occupied. We only have a medium sized car too. There really needs to be a washing machine in the flat, it's a must for a beach holiday. There is ample room in the boiler/store room and a water supply there too. The fridge is also poor, very small and too low down. This needs addressing especially with 4 people staying in the flat.

The parking place is ideal for a mini or a Citroen c1. We were lucky there wasn't a car in the bay next to us otherwise it would have been very tight to park, but still a bonus to have a free parking place. Overall would recommend this apartment to anyone.

The property

In the lovely seaside town of Whitby, residing on the River Esk is this spacious apartment, Quayside Haven, boasting river views and picturesque scenery.

The property would be best suited for a family or friends, sleeping up to four people and with a zip/link option in one of the rooms to provide more flexible sleeping arrangements.

After a mostly flat walk back from the centre of Whitby, walk into the lofty apartment and into the open-plan living space, bringing the atmosphere with you with its views out to the boatyard on the river.

Bring some fresh fish and local Yorkshire produce back with you to the apartment and cook up a delicious meal for everyone in the modern kitchen space, while the group can keep you company from the sitting area thanks to this contemporary layout.

Move things over to the dining area for a quality sit-down meal and keep the good times flowing with a nice bottle of wine, before it's time to turn in for the night.

When sleep calls you, head over to one of the delightful bedrooms, with a double or a super-king-size to choose from, the latter having the option to convert to two singles with its zip/link abilities.

The property's bathroom lies just between these rooms, affording you both a shower and bath, while also included is an allocated parking permit for one car, a fantastic advantage as parking space is so sought after in Whitby!

Wander into town and over towards a real challenge; climb the 199 Steps up to St Mary's Church, home to the cemetery referenced in Bram Stoker's Dracula, to experience the sweeping views of the harbour and gorgeous coastline.

To see some of the creatures of the deep, hop on a Whitby Whale Watching cruise to go in search of whales, dolphins, seals and sea birds and if you're lucky you can see something incredible!

For a relaxing sunny day head into Pannet Park to enjoy the luscious green spaces, an elegant sunken pond and themed gardens.

For those that love having everything on their doorstep, Quayside Haven will be your ideal base to explore this charming town.
