    A fantastic apartment, overlooking the marina a short stroll from Whitby town centre. Sleeps 8 in 4 double rooms, nice large lounge with balcony, full size dining table and well equipped kitchen. Accommodation is living rooms on 1st floor, with bedrooms on 2nd and 3rd floors. A very welcoming place, the owner left a 60th Birthday Card for my Mum and a chilled bottle of fizz for our arrival. Views are spectacular and we got very lucky with the weather. Only slight negative is the car parking situation. There is a small garage which we managed to fit a Honda Civic 95% in. Our other two cars we could not find free or paid parking close by. There is free on road parking opposite the apartment but the whole weekend there were no spaces. Church Street car park was also full all weekend. Cars were driven up the hill and left on road around a mile away. Only a slight issue but worth mentioning if you need your car close by. All in all a great couple of days away and well recommended.

The property

A delightful apartment in an enviable position, overlooking the marina in the historic port of Whitby.

Set over three floors, this light and spacious property is perfect for family groups to enjoy time together in this popular and lively seaside resort.

Entry is via internal stairs that take you up to the spacious L-shaped sitting room, with large picture windows that open onto a balcony.

With stunning panoramic views over the marina, guests can relax and drink in the view, from where you will see brightly coloured boats bobbing up and down in the harbour.

In late afternoon the sun shines across the water and there are superb sunsets to enjoy; just imagine sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine on a balmy summer's evening.

With comfortable seating and a large dining area in the sitting room, there is plenty of space to spread out.

The well-equipped kitchen is to the rear and opens onto a steep, terraced garden, with steps that lead up to a seating area and shed, again glorious views for the more energetic!

The four pleasant bedrooms are set over the top two floors, one with an en-suite shower room, whilst the family bathroom is on the first floor.

The property benefits from private parking in the garage below, a rare find in Whitby, and there’s free parking directly opposite the apartment.

Although in the heart of Whitby, the apartment is on the quieter side of the harbour, but a few minutes’ walk brings you into the hustle and bustle of this charming town.

With the shops and amenities all at hand, you are ideally placed for exploring the quaint, narrow streets, the cobbled market place and Whitby’s many restaurants and pubs.

Enjoy a cocktail in a harbourside bar, or partake in afternoon tea in one of the many tea rooms.

Whitby has much to offer, with its 199 steps leading up to the Abbey, museums, including Captain Cook memorial museum, and the pretty gardens in Pannett Park.

Alternatively, why not book a night time ghost walk, or a whale watching trip?

With the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors to discover nearby and numerous coastal and inland villages to visit, this charming apartment provides an ideal base, at any time of the year.
