The property

An attractive second floor apartment in a converted Victorian property, close to the centre of the historic seaside town of Whitby.

With lovely views over the harbour, railway and abbey, it is ideally placed for couples wishing to explore this wonderful atmospheric port, with all amenities on the doorstep.

Communal stairs lead up to the apartment, which provides second floor accommodation and has a spacious and contemporary open plan living area, with a modern kitchen and comfortable sitting area.

The dining table is set in the large bay window and affords a glorious vista; enjoy a leisurely breakfast with the sunlight steaming in, whilst watching the activity in the harbour and the passing steam trains as they trundle in and out of the station.

The double bedroom is at the back of the apartment, with plenty of storage space and an en-suite bathroom.

A five-minute stroll brings you into the hustle and bustle of this popular resort, with an excellent choice of pubs, restaurants and tempting tea rooms.

Wander around the quaint narrow streets and cobbled market place, relax on the sandy beaches, or climb the 199 steps up to the famous abbey and partake in a bracing cliff-top walk, with stunning vistas along the coastline.

For the brave at heart, why not book an evening ghost walk or take a whale-watching trip out to sea?

There are a wealth of attractions in this beautiful area, including the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors, the pretty market towns of Pickering and Helmsley and the idyllic coastal villages of Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes to visit.
