The property

Situated on a quiet street in the pretty little village of Withernwick, just five miles from the seaside town of Hornsea, is this bright, charming semi-detached holiday cottage.

A short drive from the rugged coastline of East Yorkshire, and an even shorter walk from the village pub, it is an excellent base for friends and families exploring this beautiful area.

The cottage is accessed from the side of the property into an entrance hallway with bag and coat hooks, as well as a washing machine stowed away behind cupboard doors.

The cottage has been furnished to a wonderful standard, comfy and welcoming throughout with modern touches to make your stay as easy and care free as possible.

The sitting room has two cosy sofas and a beautiful cast iron electric fire, convincingly disguised as a woodburning stove, so you can relax as a group after a long, brisk walk in fresh sea air.

At the back of the cottage is a bright, spacious kitchen with a dining area and doors opening into a truly lovely, private garden.

Rattan furniture and a parasol make it a great spot to enjoy a book in the sunshine, or enjoy tasty homemade sandwiches before venturing out for the afternoon.

The sleek bathroom is on the ground floor where you can enjoy a bubble bath, or a quick shower after a day on the beach and upstairs, are two delightful bedrooms.

The twin room overlooks the garden and the second room has a king-size bed and a full wall of mirrored wardrobes, which discreetly hide a TV behind one sliding door.

In the nearby, bustling town of Hornsea you can spend an afternoon at the beach, peruse its many amenities or enjoy a day at Hornsea Mere – the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire, offering sailing, boat hire and fishing.

Further afield, but less than an hour away, birdlife enthusiasts will love a visit to RSPB Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Cliffs Nature Reserve, home to one of the most important seabird colonies in Europe.

Explore the seaside resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough, while the popular, picturesque Trans Pennine Way is less than a mile away and perfect for walkers and cyclists.

A wonderful holiday home for exploring this fantastic corner of Yorkshire.
