Little Holm Garth is a charming single-storey barn conversion set in the village of Newholm on the outskirts of Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Offering a characterful retreat for two within the North York Moors National Park, boasting an enclosed garden and allowing one well behaved dog.
You arrive and park the car just outside, with the added convenience of an EV charger ready for use.
The stone exterior and charming barn doors immediately set the tone, hinting at the building’s rural heritage.
Light filters through the doors as you step closer, and the enclosed garden frames the property with a sense of privacy, its lawn and graveled areas arranged with outdoor furniture for relaxed moments outdoors.
Opening the barn doors, you step straight into the sitting room, where wooden flooring runs underfoot and draws you into the heart of the cottage.
Natural light pours in, giving the space an open, welcoming feel.
Settle into the seating with the TV on in the background, admire the coastal artwork that reflects Whitby’s seaside character as the evening draws in, creating a warm focal point after a day spent exploring.

The barn is refurbished to a high standard and is very comfortable.
The owners are very welcoming and helpful. It is a walkable distance to Whitby park and ride and also is in a great position to explore the North York Moors. Just a lovely place to stay. Highly recommend it.
One of the best , if not the best, of the many holiday homes we have stayed in.
Everything was perfect, especially the wonderful walk in shower with an abundance of hot water, a must for us! The hosts, Andrea and Paul, were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Will be recommending this accommodation to my friends

This is Little Holm Garth's first season and everything about the property is pristine - we hope future visitors will continue to show it the respect and care it deserves. We were blessed with good weather for the duration of our 2 week stay so were able to explore much of this beautiful stretch of coastline and also fully enjoy all the variety that Whitby has to offer. Whitby seems to be an "all year round" resort so check the calendar for special interest weekends and events as we're sure Little Holm Garth would be a good low season option as well as a summer one. Our only disappointment is that it is such a very long way from Surrey! - otherwise it would be one of our "go to" places. We hope Little Holm Garth will provide a happy holiday home for many people over the years ahead. Thank you Andrea and Paul for working so hard to make your dream a reality for the benefit of others (and for enabling us to put a Tick against Whitby on our Wish List
