  • "Tower house was fantastic, the decor and the building , spectacular with an excellent heating system."

So spacious and well stocked. Absolutely top marks.

  • "The House, well the Church, was absolutely perfect!"

The owners are very helpful with everything you need. Every room is cozy and great to relax at. Avoch itself is very quiet, but you get everything you need there. Inverness is also near by (Taxi = ~27 GBP) for a little more action. For a whisky tour I recommend to do the Glen Ord Distillery (also by Taxi ~30 GBP).

We had everything we needed and our hosts Rachel and Rob were extremely welcoming and helpful. Avoch is a beautiful location, and alongside Tower House this made for a fabulous holiday that I will never forget.

  • "We already had high expectations because of the promising presentation on the homepage."

..and we were not disappointed. Everything was really brilliant! Maybe the only disadvantage of the location is the fact that the hoped beach-walks were not possible (due to the beach) and that there is no Pub in Avoch any more... so you have to drive or stay at home.

  • "I loved Tower House when I saw it on the website, and I wasn’t disappointed."

Before arrival Rachel was very helpful arranging key collection etc. The house was just amazing. The decor was lovely and everything was in the house that was needed. We felt very comfortable in the house and it was nice to have plenty of space to sit and relax. And we all slept extremely well in the most comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to go back.

  • "Perfect to relax, comfortable holiday home!"

  • "Tower House is really spectacular."

The arrangement of rooms is fascinating, and we enjoyed getting together in the lounge at the top, or sitting quietly reading in the chair by the window just below it. Four bathrooms/shower rooms made getting ready on time easy. The kitchen is well equipped, though we did keep running out of mugs! The owners are very helpful and friendly. A most memorable holiday.

Loads of space, with several living areas and en suite bathrooms for every bedroom. Very light and airy and extremely comfortable. Sea view from one of the lounges. All the equipment and facilities you could ask for. Location wise it was perfect for us - Inverness and all the facilities of a city 5 minutes drive in one direction, and peaceful, tranquil fishing villages in the other. Not to mention the fantastic display the dolphins gave us from Chanonry Point! All in all, a fantastic holiday.

Rachel and Rob welcomed us and we knew they were in the village should we need anything . Every floor held wee surprises and every room was unique. We had a lovely meal at the Alangrange in the nearby village and had a well earned lunch at the Ploughafterba walk along the railway line from Avoch to Rosemarkie and through the Fairy Glen. We were Also my my enough to see the dolphins at Channery Point. Overall a brilliant week with great walks, a superb house and fabulous memories.

It's an amazing place to stay with lots of space and incredibly helpful owners. Our group was five adults and two dogs, and we had plenty of space to spread out and relax. It was easy for everyone to find a quiet corner to read or to do a bit of unavoidable work. There are great walks for the dogs, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms have plenty of sofas/chairs and light. Couldn't ask for more!

The owners were very welcoming and Kara our golden retriever had a great time as well. Would recommend the Tower for a larger party as there are also three sitting rooms so that you can have quiet if you want. One sitting room had a large log burner which was very homely, we cannot recommend the accommodation highly enough. The area was lovely and quiet but with plenty to do and see.

The house is an attraction in itself, with a large homely kitchen and several comfortable living rooms. There is a alot of stairs, but these do afford splendid views down the firth from the upper lounge. The hosts were very helpful, and had thoughtfully added lots of little detail, such as a prepared BBQ and a detailed map of local places of interest really added to our holiday. The house location was great for wildlife with a glimpse of a Pine Martin, and an evening spent wathcing bats. Avoch is a great base for exploring the Black Isle, and the highlands. We would highly recommend this property and location for a wonderful family holiday

Tower House has been beautifully refurbished to provide a quirky and unique location for your holiday in the Highlands.

An impressive central spiral staircase connects the different levels of accommodation, and from the top level, guests can look down to the central sitting room on the ground floor.

Situated off the central sitting room is the library with comfortable sofas.

On the other side of the central sitting room you will find a large, split-level, exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with a sociable dining area.

Also on the ground floor is a double en-suite bedroom, a handy cloakroom and a utility room.

As you make your way up the staircase, you will pass the other bedrooms, all of which have their own en-suite facilities, and at the top level is the fabulous main sitting room, with its high-arched ceiling, and windows offering views across the village, the Moray Firth and to Chanonry Point.

Large, comfortable sofas are set around a cosy woodburning stove and a section of this room is split-level, giving access down to a quiet reading area.
