  • "Comfortable apartment in a beautiful area."

Hosts were welcoming and kindly left a welcome pack of basics, including wine. Good parking Plenty of places to explore in the area

  • "The apartment was in a beautiful location, well equipped and spotlessly clean."

We very much appreciated the welcome pack! The owners were friendly but never intrusive. There were no faults to find and we definitely plan a return visit.

  • "Keith & Lynn were very welcoming and there was a lovely welcome package of milk, bread, cereal & butter on arrival."

There was a secure area for our dog to roam. Great location for either driving out to the coast or inland. Beautiful vistas within a short drive in every direction

  • "The cottage was absolutely fabulous."

It was immaculate, modern, and it truly felt that the owners took pride in the dtandatd of accomodation they provided. The kitchen equipment was a good quality as were the towels etc. The private secluded garden was an extra bonus.

  • "Lakefield Apartment was perfectly located for our visits to The Nevis Range, Fort Augustus and only around 2 hours from the Isle of Skye,15 minutes down the road you also have Glen Affric which is great for a day out walking and waterfall spotting and 15 minutes the other way you have Urquhart Castle."

The apartment actually looks better in real life than online pics showed, we were a family of 4 with 10 and 13 year old boys and the property gave us enough space to relax and comfortable beds for sleeping. If the weather permits there is a large outside area and BBQ. The property is well presented and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a break. We wouldn't hesitate in suggesting this property to friends and family.

  • "The holiday apartment is good."

Hosts live next door and are lovely. The apartment is central to doing lots of activities however they all are a drive away. Whilst being near Loch Ness - it’s still 6 miles away from any village. Had a great time and created some great family memories.

All appliances modern and very cosy with underfloor heating. Nice welcome basket of goodies very much appreciated. Even chilled wine in fridge. Highly recommend.

  • "Was very dissapointed with its position as we had double checked before we booked that it had a pub nearby which it didnt."

What is listed as a pub is just a b&b and was full while we were there and also wasnt dog friendly. So we had to travel 6 miles to the nearest pub which meant only 1 of us could have a drink not what we expected. Was in the middle of nowhere also only got to meet 1 of the owners we never got to meet the lady who ran the property which has never happened to us before. Not enough clean towels in the property so we had to go ask for more as 2 for a week wasnt enough and the guy seemed suprised we asked for more. Wouldnt go back again far too out of the way to any amenities

  • "A brilliant holiday in an amazing apartment."

This cozy little place has everything you could ever need....... and more. A welcome pack of groceries (including a bottle of wine), was a lovely addition. There was even a bed and bowls for the dog. Friendly hosts that were happy to help with anything. Ideally situated for exploring the Highlands. I would definitely recommend Lakefield, and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

  • "Ideal location for exploring the Loch Ness area of the Highlands and further afield."

The accommodation was just right for a couple, comfortable and well equipped .Hosts were welcoming but not intrusive. Reference to pub close by is unhelpful as The Steading is really B&B restricted to those staying there and so unavailable for drinks or food when fully booked. In reality the nearest pub about 6 miles away. Overall a lovely place to stay in a beautiful area.

  • "We had a fantastic time exploring the Highlands from this lovely little spot."

The hosts Keith and Lynn were fab and had provided a hamper on arrival with cereal, bread, shortbreads, eggs and the fridge was also stocked with the essentials, milk, butter and even wine!! We definitely brought too much food with us! They had even provided bowls and a bed for the dog which was fab. The only thing we struggled with was drying wet clothes and towels as the heating was under-floor so there were no radiators. But really a minor issue as the flat was lovely and cosy otherwise! Thanks again for a lovely holiday.

! Really spacious lounge / kitchen area, lovely sized double room and big enough shower room. All really nicely decorated with everything you need for your stay! Owners really friendly and just left us to it yet we know if we had of needed anything they would be on hand. Lovely quiet spot and bargain price for our 6 nights stay when compared to neighbouring lodges. Our stay could not have been any cosier and perfect and will definitely be back. Thank you :)

Other than that we had a super time.
