  • "This is a really beautiful cottage with all the facilities you could possibly need for a break away from home, and lots more!"

(My grandson wanted to move in!). The kitchen area has been updated to an open plan kitchen/diner and is very spacious. My only suggestion would be a hook in the shower room of the second bedroom - no big deal but it would save things being on the floor. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "What a beautiful, comfortable space to spend quality time with the family."

Hosts were very friendly. Stripping beds for a 10am checkout was only a tiny niggle! If it was a later checkout it would have been easier. Would happily return though.

  • "We had a pleasant stay at Beechwood cottage."

The owners were pleasant and really helpful. Really happy with the kitchen and gym, parking facilities. Kept us nice and cosy inside the house. Two things that could have better is better toilet and shower room in second bedroom. There was mould on walls. May be get rid of musty carpet in living room. We really enjoyed the stay. Thank you for providing such a nice place.

Hi Sini, Glad you enjoyed your holiday in Beechwood. My apologies for the marks on the ceiling in the small bathroom I think possibly the fan was not always on and with the hot humid weather the condensation caused the problem... we have hopefully solved the problem. Regarding the musty carpet i am not quite sure what you mean , could have been the smell from the log fire lingering in the room. The carpet is not very old and is wool ,it will get cleaned at the end of the season. Glad these two issue didnt effect your stay. Regards Lin Property Owner

  • "We had a fab holiday throughout our stay in this property."

The cottage is close to places where we wanted to explore and had adventurous experience with the kids. The owner met us up at the cottage after we settled in on our 1st day of arrival which we thought was very nice, gave us an overview of places to see, things to do and recommended places that served great food which was a bonus! The cottage itself was very clean and was prepared for a homely stay (nice bouquet of flowers in the living room). Beds were comfortable and each has en suite shower/toilet. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you'll need for cooking and washing. Dishwasher was very handy as we came in 2 groups and mostly cooked for meals. Also made use of washing machine as always out and about and kids especially were constantly getting messy. Just one suggestion to make for future holidaymakers - maybe an indoor airer would come handy if unable to hang the washing outside (since we're in scotland, weather can be so unpredictable!). Either indoor airer or a tumbledryer can be put in place, however, I bet indoor airer would be the cheaper option between the two. Summerhouse equipped with amazing gym equipment was very handy as my friend's teenage son was gym fanatic so fairly made use of it! Overall, our holiday was so relaxing and worthwhile knowing we had a comfortable place to stay. We do highly recommend this place for holidaymakers who intend to seek a peaceful and relaxing break from their own homes!

Hi Donna, Thankyou for your kind comments and glad you had a nice relaxing holiday in Beechwood. A clothes airer is now in the cottage for people to use when the suns not shining! Cheers Lin Property Owner

  • "Just had the loveliest of stays at Beechwood Cottage."

it’s set back from the road in a lovely quiet spot in the Village with two shops within walking distance and a great Fish and Chip Shop. The Cottage was very comfortable and warm and got a surprise as the kitchen had been updated from the photographs. The kitchen had everything you would need and more (only one small item needs replaced as didn’t work was the tin opener). The livingroom was very large with comfortable seating for everyone. Bedrooms were again super with three having en-suites and the beds were really comfortable. The garden was very secluded and great to sit in the sun. The equipment in the summer house was a fun addition.

  • "Hi We use cottages quite a bit and I have a few suggestions."

Some highball tumblers would be handy, more explicit instructions on which bins to use, you have a green bin but it has a blue lid, which is it green or blue, no indication of where to put glass. The back door lock is very flimsy and difficult to lock, the carpet in the hall is very nice but it is a trip hazard and finally my wife has allergies and the feather filled cushions were a bit of a problem. It is a nice comfortable cottage and we enjoyed our stay, thank you.

  • "We all had a lovely holiday."

Beechwood Cottage was beautifully furnished, well equipped and very roomy and comfortable . Located within easy walk of convenience store, restaurants, café, and the lovely walk along the river Tilt. Nearby within about 15 minute drive was Pitlochry and lovely walks at Killiecrankie, Queens View, Bruar Falls, Loch Faskally etc. Highlight for two teenagers with us was experience of White Water Rafting on the Tay and the Killy zip experience at Killiecrankie. Lin and Gordon were very lovely, helpful hosts.
