A nice welcome pack was much appreciated. Good views across the fields and to the mountains, and bird feeders outside the kitchen window. We definitely recommend a holiday at Millview in the beautiful Cairngorms.

The cottage was very comfortable, clean and very well stocked. It was in a lovely quiet area with lovely views from the windows and garden. We were blessed with the weather and was able to make the most of the outside space most of the week. The many bird feeders were a real bonus and we enjoyed watching the many varied visitors. Some lovely goodies were left for us and Audrey was on hand to answer any queries and questions that we had. Would highly recommend Millview and would love to return again when in the area. Many thanks.

It was a well appointed holiday home with a great well equipped kitchen and eating area. There was plenty of space to store holiday gear in the garage and utility room. The beds were very comfortable and the house was warm as we were there over New year in snowy conditions! We used the fire in the lounge for extra comfort. Loved watching the birds in the garden. • "Very disappointed."

The cottage is nice and in nice location but the bedrooms didn’t look very clean. Our carpet was dirty. Uncomfortable beds. As well very disappointed that we forgot a very expensive hoodie and messaged the owner few times and asked for it to be posted back to us and they didn’t bother replying but I can see my message was read.

This review is in complete contrast to what the guest actually wrote in the visitors book, I quote " We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage. The house was always warm and cosy. We loved the area and will definitely come back in summer. Thank you for the Christmas gift. Ramona, Alex, Ana, John, Mihai and Anca xx " She is clearly a very impatient person .The hoody has been found and will be returned when I get the address from Sykes. The guests left on the 28th December and this review was left on the 7th January, giving me very little time over the holiday period to return it. This is the first negative review I have had in over 10 years of letting and it is simply untrue. For the record I have never not returned an item of left property. Property Owner

The wine, Scottish biscuits and fresh eggs were a lovely welcome gift. The house was warm and cosy with comfortable beds. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and pots. We had family with us and there was room to spread out. We really enjoyed watching the birds including a woodpecker attracted by the many bird feeders - great idea. The general area has plenty of walks and cycles and a super shop in Boat of Garten. Also the owner has been kind and helpful.

  • "The photograph doesn’t do the property justice."

We self cater about four times a year and have a hit list of requirements and these were extremely well met at Millview. The accessible garage was ideal for our bike storage plus the property has loads of storage space in the utility room for cycling/hiking equipment and lots of coat hooks essential for wet outdoor gear. The kitchen is well equipped including a hand towel (very few provide a towel in the kitchen) the lounge comfy with the added bonus of an open fire. Bedrooms fine with good bed linen and fluffy large towels in the bathroom and plenty hot water. The sitting area outside is very nice with the added bonus of a canopy over the area which provided welcome shade the week we visited 27 degrees! We enjoyed being able to cycle directly from the house to Loch Garten, Boat of Garten to Aviemore along cycle route 7. There are many more routes some of which we explored Speyside Way to Kincraig with a visit to The Old Post Office a lovely cafe then back via Loch Insh to Aviemore. A splendid property in a quiet area but all facilities are easily accessible.
